Nope, just got lucky with these haha. Had amazing light that day. Total cloud cover at about 3PM, so plenty of light but very soft. Made the car really pop especially with the black coal everywhere.

Anyway, critique away

Both of those just look like bad filters.

Default Rolex24 @ Daytona

Better late than never. Had fun shooting a little at the Rolex24.
Lots of great cars to see. Pretty happy overall with how the motion pan shots came out. They were shot with a 50mm 1.8.

The garages and corrals were also amazing to be around.

lol yeah, my apologies . I didn't notice those until after I posted them I realize that I need to start focusing on composition a little more when I shoot. The other thing that I didn't notice until I was in Lightroom was the fact that I had a tree behind the car in nearly every shot

Went out and shot a couple for fun this morning when I woke up to some snow.

Not the best but I was trying to pay more attention to composition while shooting today than I usually have in the past.

Also, the brown license place and inside the lower grill
I went on a day trip to Missoula yesterday so I had plenty of road muck from the freeway.

I decided to go back and just lighten that last photo just a tiny bit, so here is that. It isn't a lot but I just didn't have the brights where I liked them

I know I just posted some XV photos this morning, but then the weather shifted and I headed back out for some more quick fun

This evening shoot I was focusing on making sure I didn't have any shadows that were too bad, any trees sticking up behind my car, and practicing composite images.

I wasn't thrilled with how they turned out, but I'll take criticism as always

These are just a few.

Keep in mind this is my opinion, but I think I like the second set of pictures more because the colors are more interesting (although a lot of them need more exposure on the car). That being said, you really need to work on composition and using the rule of thirds as a lot of these photos are near dead center.

What do you use for photo editing?

Thank you, yeah the colors at sunset the last few days have been excellent.

Right now I am using Lightroom for 95 percent of editing, and only open something in Photoshop if I need to remove some bad shadows or something.

With regards to the exposure on the car, would you suggest getting more comfortable with the adjustment brushes, or how would you go about that? That is definitely something I agree with you on, so the advice is really appreciated.

I for sure have plenty of room to grow in both the shooting aspect and the PP aspect

Yea potentially for the whole image or using the brushes in Lightroom. You're shooting in RAW, right?

Yes, shooting in RAW. I'll go back and re edit some and post one or two back for feedback

So here are just 4 that I retouched in the last few minutes. I left the backgrounds the same as I edited them last night, and went over the cars with an adjustment brush in Lightroom and made them a little brighter.

The second one, I dont know. I made the car brighter but with the background, as well as the flare from the headlights, opinions?

Any thoughts on how they look?

Took a cue out of Pre and Dmochowski's book and picked me up a Focus RS. Loving this thing in all areas. Need to get out and shoot some better photos but here's a quick set of snaps.
