I'll be at Hughie's for a few hours. Bell's tap takeover starts now.

Should be a colab of 4 breweries (Southern Star, Copperhead, 8th Wonder, Eureka Heights) brewing beer from the same single yeast strain.

A brewery would use a yeast to make a beer, harvest that yeast and send it to the next brewery and so forth. I think there are 5 or 6 total that passed around the yeast.

edit: damn, it's a lot more than that.

Quote:
Join us for a flight of the first 4 beers in the Houston Daisy Chain Experiment featuring beers from Eureka Heights Brew Co Southern Star Brewing Company 8th Wonder Brewery and Copperhead Brewery.

From Brewbound: "There’s an ambitious new experiment coming from Houston-area craft breweries this spring. Twenty three breweries have joined in to each brew a batch of beer using the same yeast strain throughout the project. Called the Houston Daisy Chain Experiment, the yeast will begin its journey at Southern Star Brewing Co. in Conroe, Texas, then be harvested by the other participating breweries until they’ve all brewed and released their unique beers to the public. Releases are expected to begin February 2018, and continue throughout the spring."
Copperhead has a Red
8th Wonder has a Pale Ale dry-hopped with Motueka and Ekuanot
Not sure what Southern Star has
Eureka Heights has a RyeIPA

Yup reason why Hughie's doesn't know if they have only 4 or as many as all (23) beers on tap for today in the colab.

Lets see if 8th Wonder can make a beer worth drinking.

Also, I would have called it Brewer Centipede myself...

I think 4 is where it sits right now. It's supposed to go on all spring/summer.

Rocket Fuel, Haterade? Actually those are the only two in circulation that I like. I've liked others that were taproom only.

Both passable, but not what I'd buy... I think I have batch 1 Rocket Fuel can in my fridge...

PSA: There was a really large sinkhole on 18th street last week in front of the Donut's parking side. Hopefully, it's been patched.
