Nice... you should be able to get at least 1 or 2 seasons out of those Blizzaks. I'm thinkin you might get to put em to some good use out way out there in Verona too! I hate shoveling and snowblowing but I kinda want to get dumped on with snow soon to fully appreciate my Ipikes.

Obviously, I'm not looking to spend $1500 on cosmetics for a car that's 10 yrs old now. But at the same time, rust spots will be such an eye sore on an otherwise good looking car.
Just apply a generous coat of clay and grass. Problem solved.

So far I love my IPikes... I kinda expected them to be much louder than my old Blizzaks but they arent.. so quiet and such a soft sticky ride.. I cant wait to see what they can do in some actual accumulation and my ABS off.. Not sure what the price is now but I think I ended up getting my 225/17-45's for around 109 each shipped.

BTW -- noticed another WRX over at Mad City Sales this morning -- WRB with yellow Rally graphics.. Didnt see the front as it was parked sideways but I think its the 04/05 that I always saw runnin around on the East Side..

I've had some work done by Madison Auto Trim and have been pretty happy. They're pretty reasonably priced also.

Quick electrical question. My amp has started going into protect mode while the my car is running. When the ignition is on (engine not running) the amp is all well and fine. As soon as I start the car, the protection on the amp is kicked on.

I've measured 12.73v at the battery with the car off, but 15.5v (!) with the car running. I'm thinking the voltage regulator is on it's way out. Any thoughts on this? From my years of doing 12v install, I seem to remember 14.4v being the target you wanted when the car was running.

I am planning on getting a reman alternator soon, (and thus a new voltage reg within) but I always like to get the input of others first. Let me know what you think. Thanks.

Oh, and see you guys tomorrow at QS&L!
