if only they got some interior quality "taste" control going (puhlezz to much daewoo wierd ass interior+plastic) and hyundai is really primed

great job hyundai, maybe you should have subaru under your transmission wing

About 10-15 years ago, South Korea made it a national policy to massively increase the number of engineers trained in the country, and we're beginning to see the results of that program. Hyundai has made incredible improvements in the past decade. They'll have their own in-house-designed hybrids with Korean-designed (from LG, I believe) advanced-lithium batteries on the road in Korea this year, and for sale here as, I believe, 2011 models.

So good stuff, well done, and if you're GM, Ford or Toyota, keep running as fast as you can, because Hyundai is hot on your heels and catching you fast.

if hyundai can get rid of its brand image, its going to kick butt

same cheap manufacturing costs, but with massive home grown engineering talent

This is the reason Toyota has publicly stated that Hyundai is their biggest competition... not GM.
