Mudflaps?
Hey everyone i'm looking to get some mud flaps for the bug and have a few quick questions.
1) What's the difference between the three types of rally armor mud flaps (basic, classic, and urathane)? 2) Does anyone have experience with flapatax mud flaps and how do they compare with rally armor? 3) Are there any other brands that people have used? I'm not looking to spend a ton of money seeing as they're just mud flaps but i also don't want to cheap out on a low quality product and have them break if i go over a speed bump or fall off the car while i'm driving. Thanks in advance!

Flapatax are the best. Better than highest end rally armies and 50% the cost.

i just purchaseed some flapataxs for my 2011 wrx. they've only been on for a few days but so far I love them. they seem to stick out more than the rally armor ones which I like. Mounting does have me a little worried since it only used 2 long but thin hex head screws (not sure of size) and it seems like an extra mounting point or two would make it more secure (not sure if needed or not may just be me being paranoid)
install was easy (once i figured out what to do) and maybe took a total of an hour (30 to install 30 to figure out WTF i was doing) |

http://www.flapatax.com/mudflaps/index.html shipping probably wont be as prompt as RA is, but i think it was well worth it!
thats the flapatax simpplified design for reference (yes i know it needs a wash, no time because of work) |

if you dont mind spending the money go to http://www.rallylights.com/detail.aspx?ID=508
their sheets of UR like the rally armor's only thicker and you can cut them to your own desire. I just cut a set for my car over the weekend and im pretty pleased. |

OK as far as rally armor goes the 3 they have are Basic cheap over priced in to middle priced and finally urethane which in my opinion are the best urethane will not fold in heat will to bend or scratch and will last along time you get what you pay for there. I'm not saying they have to be rally armor but I will tell you that the best compound to buy a mud flap in is urethane.
