fog/headlight problems
So about 3 weeks ago I upgraded to JDM HID lights for my bugeye, and till wends everything was going great. I was driving around on wends night , I had my fogs and headlights on and then alll the sudden my highbeam indicator started spontaniusly coming on and off. When the highbeam indicator was off then the foglights would be on and visa versa. when i turn my fog lights off tho, this problem goes away. Does anyone know why they are acting up? I checked the foglight fuse and it is good. The headlights work fine, so i think it must be soemthing else, but maybe not. Has anyone ran into this problem before? any help would be much appreciated
Happy belated thanksgiving to everyone Tom

You could have some wires touching/crossed.
I may be over analysing this, but your high beam wire and your fogs wire may be touching. As to say that when there is current running to the fogs you're gonna have this problem, and if there is no current the wires are "not crossed" and you have no problem. I would check the harnesses too. I hope I just had a spurt of brilliance or else I'm a huge homo |

it seemed to be normal... could it be because my high beam bulbs are burnt out?

You could have a short anywhere in the wiring harness. I seen this on cars where the factory wiring is used to run the HIDs. The HID will draw more current and could cause wires to melt together and create a short. If this is the problem you need to find it because it can get worse and we'll be watching you on the 5 o'clock news with a car-b-que. |

I would have someone look at that man. Unless you can do it yourself. I would hate to see your car go up in flames. |
