Default TXS Stage 2 in 1/4 mile?

what kind of results are you getting with the stage 2 for TXS? Im thinking about getting it really soon and am eager to see the results. this punk has been talkin **** about how his father's cl600 is soo much faster then everything and it only runs a 14.2 in the quarter.

My experience with a TXS stg2, up pipe, pulley, colder plugs, 100 octane (full tank- i totally zoned out at the pump thinking I was filling up for the week), 14 psi, 230 lb driver and 2700 ft above sea level at LACR:

13.6 @ 94 mph. (mph too low for ET so I doubt it's validity)
the following run:

So, I'd say yeah, you can beat him...most likely from a stop.

My best 1/4 mile with the stage 2 setup was 13.33 @ 100mph. An important thing is use Turboxs high performance manual boost controller ($129) with the stage 2 setup. You will get much better peformance using the hpmbc vs the abc bleeder valve that comes with the kit.

Why and how are you running stock boost with a stage 2??

I'm also a bit confused why you say "13.6" when the slip shows "13.97"...so 14.

Sorry, should've been more clear.
I was too lazy to look for the 13.6 slip and scan it. Especially because I think it's incorrect. Look at the numbers and compare it to the 13.9. They just don't look right.

I had the ABC completely opened and that was all the boost it could squeeze at that elevation and temperature. I spoke to Mark at TXS about the low boost and was told it was normal.

Yeap. And as soon as you cut down on that reaction time, you'll be in the low 13" !!!

First yellow,
Last yellow,
or 5 seconds after the green.....
your trap time and speed won't be affected.

For those in confusion, 60' and reaction time are 2 different things. 60' let's you know how well you got off the line. Reation time is how quckly you broke the lights after the green.

This past weekend I consistantly ran low 14's with a TXS stage 2(with a CAT), uppipe and MBC set at 16 psi. I pulled a 13.9 at 94 also. I know my car is faster than that though. It was my very first time ever drag racing, I was running with an Off the shelf map with my unichip, it was hot outside, and I probably didn't let my car cool down enough at times. I was having too much fun to wait

Nathan,
Were these with the ABC that comes with the stage 2 kit, or did you fool with an MBC. I think we'd be interested in hearing ABC times since it's the way the kit comes and is the safe way to run a daily driver. I suppose since you're there at TXS the unichip was tinkered with a bit to get more HP?

I used an MBC on both of those runs. The programs were totally stock off the shelf maps, as the 13.2 run was before i even worked here.

With just a Turbo XS Hp MBC and a drop in air filter i ran 13.5 @ 97mph

Thats a nice car he is talking about, but from a stop you should be able to get him easily.

I DO NOT reccomend trying your luck on the highway tho.
