Default TXS Unichip Stage 2 to Stage 3

I am currently running the TXS Stage 2 with the Unichip, and have just received my new TXS uppipe and Ver II TMI, which would constitute Stage 3. I will be installing these new parts soon, so I decided to call TurboXS to check about sending back the Unichip to be remapped. The particular guy that I spoke with said that the maps for 2 and 3 were so similar that I may not need to do that. He said to try it first, and if I noticed problems like jerkiness or hesitancy, to send the chip back. (ideally I should have utec, but I purchased the unichip shortly before utec even came out, so I know that I would lose $ if I switched now). So.........does anyone have any thoughts on this?

BTW, as far as monitoring mechanisms, I have a boost gauge, EGT, and knock link sensor.

Thumbs up

If you install the upgrade parts, you also 'may' be best off getting the remap. My bet would be the the remap is worth the shipping cost and downtime.

I recently switched to the UTEC and it is definitely better than the unichip. Of course if you want to stay at Stage3 the Unichip is very cost effective.
Have fun whatever you decide.

I would get the remap. Turn around time isn't that bad.

My advice is buy the UTEC first (it's about the same price as TMIC), and buy TMIC at a later date.
