It does sound very similar. You don't get that little bit of raspiness until you make it a tbe. I rev my cbe and its just deep and a tiny bit snorty.

A CBE won't give you any noticeable power but will give you the amazing sound. The stock tune on the 11's is actually dangerous. Even going stage 1 will give you better mpg and more power

I'm guessing either a fitment issue or something else with the design was found to be in need of adjusting. The guy I spoke with said he couldn't comment on the reason, but that it was definitely going to be summer until it's seen. I had heard the same thing you did, which is what drove me to calling them because I very much wanted this exhaust and have been impatiently waiting.

Has anyone put on the cnt (erz) catback yet? I am curious to see how it sounds with 2 resonators.

So far this is the exhaust I like the most. The Concept G Blue TBE will be on my car the second it becomes available!

Well I would imagine it sounds very deep and has a lot of rumble. Probably not too loud though. The two resonators would take the raspy sound out which is good IMO

Yeah I'm hoping. Love the single angled look. The invida N1 is just too loud w both styles.

The N1 style looks kind of funny on the 11' sedans. It just doesn't fill the hole very well. That is why I like the Tanabe Concept G Blue but apparently it won't be out until summer. It looks great and has large canisters that help fill the holes while looking aggressive still

I keep hearing this. How bad can the stock tune from the factory be though.

I think I will do a full exhaust, cold air intake, and a pro tune. By the sounds of the stock tune on the 11 STi, it might be even safer with the light bolt ons and the pro tune.

After the car is broken in (car is new and only has 600 miles on it) I will get it done. This should wake it up some too.

Basically the engine runs lean when going into boost which is the worst thing you can do. This is all for emissions and stupid stuff like that. The sooner you can get some sort of a tune on it...the safer you are.

Stage 1 is how the car should have came! It feels amazing but protune stage 1's have been showing 60+whp 60+wtq which just shows how crappy the stock tune is. Stage 2 (intake and TBE) will get you close to 290-300whp and 320-350wtq depending on the tune.

I am considering the stage 2 (intake, TBE and pro tune) It would be nice to hit 320-350whp and have a safer car than stock. There is a shop here that specializes in Subaru (canjammotorsports.com) They said they can pull 330-350whp with a safe tune.

I know the tune on the '11 STI is crap. What about the tune on the '11 WRX? Does it also run lean going into boost?

Same deal ya. The WRX is just as bad plus the fact that once you get pushing higher psi's the plastic end tanks on your IC are known to break off.

I can't remember who the shop is but they were pushing 350whp on a stock WRX turbo and tranny. Just depends where you want to be with your power goals.

Back to the exhaust topic...does anyone happen to have the HKS ES-Premium on their sedan? I have been searching everywhere because I hear that it is a very subtle tone which is kind of what I am looking for but I don't want to spend that much if it is just a glorified SPT exhaust. Plus now that HKS pulled out of north america...it will be hard to come by

Sorry dude, I didn't forget about you. I am in New Zealand right now. I will make that video and show you pics when I get home. There is NOBODY who can possibly have the ES-Premium on their car other than me... I have the ONLY one in North America.

No problems. I have been wanting to hear it. Not sure if I can get it still. I know that Rally Sport Direct has them on their site but not sure if they have any in stock

Pretty sure there aren't any in stock, I don't think the first MP shipment has arrived yet.

This is the Lachute Performance catback exhaust with a 4" TurboXS downpipe. Please note that I had Lachute remove the resonator.

I am between the SPT and greddy SE for my 2011 WRX Hatch. Anyone done the greddy and have any feedback? I have always loved greddy and never had any problems with them. I heard the SPT's rust out pretty quick. What do you all think?
