If it was bad gas/bad tune, you'll feel power loss. If you're car is shuddering from fuel related issues, you probably wouldn't even be able to drive your car....

As Pelco mentioned, could've just been a stretch of highway?

A follow up on this. Was cruising around Eastern Oregon last week where gas stations are scarce.

Low gas light came on at 70 miles left according to the display and quickly changed to 60 miles left.

Once you get below 10 miles left the display changes to -----.

Sign for town was 57 miles. Filled with ~14.35 gallons.

Id say the miles left is more accurate than Id ever have given it credit for. Depending on current driving conditions anyhow.

I give the handle an extra squeeze EVERY time I get gas now.

Thinking about selling my piece of **** for a 2011 A3 quattro which doesn't cost much more, has 2.5x the hp and torque, and would probably get the same mpg kek

"Just as much"

✔ Already tuned GoAPR stage 2 - 280hp 340lb-ft meanwhile only weighing 300 pounds more than the 2.0i CVT
✔ Superior AWD
✔ Turbo I4, that is, way more efficient than the FailureB20
✔ DSG 8ms upshifts
✔ At least as much cargo space
✔ Much quieter and higher quality interior

Oh yeah, it's a total piece

It's an Audi a full luxury car, no one should ever be comparing these cars.

Do it. You always complain about your POS. Might as well get rid of it faster.

Warn the Audi boards? Nah, I'm sure he'll fit right in. Minus the fact that he's probably young enough to be the kid of most board members.

Just poking fun, but mostly being honest. You seem to be the type that isn't happy with much.

Sure you'll love it out of the gate, but once maintenance starts creeping up on you it'll be a different story.

That said I wish you luck with it. Just don't be like my idiot friend who leased a new S3 that he can't afford and pronounces it "Awdi".

Yeah I don't think I'll ever own an Audi. I'd rather have a slow subaru than an unreliable Audi. I don't imagine drpoop as a young guy, do we have reasonable suspicion?

Audi b one of the more reliable brands since the early 2010s. Far better than Mercedes, Ford, FCA, Chevrolet, Nissan, and basically everything other than Kia/Subaru/Toyota. The EA888 in the 2.0T vehicles is really reliable, their real problem is sometimes it'll cost $3000 to do basic regularly scheduled maintenance because they have to remove the engine and transmission to get at some $40 part.

Thank you 100% for this suggestion. Was on the highway on Saturday and the same thing happened. Was able to coast to the shoulder and definitely found the drivers front left brake was sticking - it was warm and every other wheel was cool. Hope to check it out today to see if I can see anything wrong. Thanks again for the suggestion

Glad you got it sorted.

Sometimes, just disassembling, lubing and spreading the caliper a bit is enough to correct the problem.

Yup, pull the caliper and regrease your pins with brake grease, I personally use Sil-glyde. Hopefully that fixes your issues and it isn't a bad caliper or collapsed brake hose

FYI they're supposed to all be slightly warm, something is wrong if they're ice cold. They keep very light contact to shed water and (since they're ceramic) keep them slightly warm rather than freezing cold.

Well, it was the inner pad that was sticking - i have a hard time getting the brake pad out. Cleaning everything, lubed up the pins and put anti seize back on the pads. I think I'm getting close to the end of life for the rotors though, it must have been sticking for a while because there's a noticeable different between the inner and outer rotor. I should mention that the inner pin was a lot harder to slide out than the bottom one, so not sure if that was part of the issue.

Should be fine for the time being though - the inner brake pad just had excessive wear on the inner and outer portions - i think that's where it was sticking on the rusted parts of the rotors.

I'm reaching 90k now, so around the time I need to get my brake fluid done, ill have a shop look at the brakes and rotors and see if they need to be replaced.

The inner pad always wears faster. It's not "supposed" to, but it's an accepted fact by people who have experience from what I can tell.

Going to perform a bit of service this weekend (Oil change, accessory belt and spark plugs)
The plugs I bought from Rock Auto are the Denso Irridium Long Life 3442 and they come pre-gapped at 0.044". I read many pages back that the acceptable gap should be @ 0.039 — 0.043"
Would you recommend that I re-gap these into the range spec'd or will .044 (1/1000th" larger) work?
