I had to trade my car in for financial reasons, so my beloved 2011 WRX is at Sam Leman Chevy City. I traded it in for 22 grand. So if your interested in it, give me a shout and I'll let ya know how much you can maybe squeeze out of them.
Did you end up keeping your Wrx? I was driving into Bloomington and saw a blue hatch with gold wheels this morning on 74, looked good!

No, my WRX was dark grey, and I had to let her go a couple months ago. I've seen a few good looking Subie's on my morning commute to Peoria from Bloomington. What do you drive?

Do you have a roof spoiler on yours? I believe I see you almost every morning. I have an all black Chevy Sonic with no front plate. Doesn't stand out as much as yours but still, haven't seen many of them with black wheels.

That sounds perdy sweet though! Yeah its got that. I only drove to Bloomington for today I had a work thing up there. I'm typically not on that side of Peoria too often

Glad this thread is still alive.

I'm going to the autocross at Parkland college this Saturday. It'll be my first...anyone else interested? I have spare helmet someone could borrow if needed.

You know you want to, romp.

Hahah that is VERY tempting! I'm not sure how good I could do with the tires that are on it now, when is it? I have to work in the morning

Just got home. It rained for half the drivers, so the Subarus had a huge advantage in the afternoon. No one else could put the power down.

There were 2 STIs, a WRX, and me as far as Subies. Had a great time, and I took first place in the ESP novice group!

I know there for a while there were some AutoXes at Building AC in Mossville. Have they done any in the last couple years? Any plans to resume? Did some D-bag screw it up for everyone by jacking around outside the course?

I think it's been a couple years since there was one at Cat in Mossville. There was one in Peoria in February this year, but I don't know of any other events planned in the area.

The central IL region of the SCCA has faded and basically doesn't exist anymore, at least that's the story I've read while trying to find events around here.

Check out CICEnet.net and ProperImage.net for Peoria area car enthusiasts.

Yeah, I heard the one that was held earlier this year was kind of rinky-dink. I guess it was held at some place on rt. 29 (Galena Rd.), and it was a very short course (30 sec or so). Still, it's better than nothing, and I'd be willing to work with whatever group got that together to try and build a bigger and better AutoX following in the area.

Yeah I know a few. A white sti and a black wrx. I've seen others around town but don't personally know them.
