The Best Pulley

Best Pulley: Perrin

Reasoning: Perrin is the only major manufacturer of lightweight stock diameter pulleys. Though under-driven pulleys aren't a major concern, most people don't want to mess with any possible electrical issues they may cause.
Not entierly correct; Autospeed Performance makes a lightweight stock diameter crank pulley also.(See here)

I don't know if you'd consider them a major manufacturer though...

alternative lower priced lightweight pulley - Nino's Auto Accessories:

Mr Josh is back in business - link even works now...

and Nino's is out of business - we live in a ever-changing world

Just copy and paste when you compose an email. I sent them a message last week about a pulley and they responded very quickly.

So which would hold in heat better, the TXS cast iron UP or the thermal coated Crucial Racing UP?

TXS up pipe is a tough fit, IMO. I like the perrin one.

The only change I have made is to add the Stromung to the exhaust catagory for famous sound. I have been hit with PM after PM from militant Stromung owners. The rest of the list remains unchanged. I do value everyone else's opinion, but once again this thread is my view. I made this thread mainly because since I am a "famous name" or frequent poster on NASIOC, I get lots of PMs from people who don't want reasons why, but just a list of parts to buy. Seems rather odd, but some people want a simple list of products to buy with no research involved and this post caters to them. Sadly, I get no sponsorship from any manufacturer or Vendor. Maybe someone will hook me up one day.

What about the SSAUTOCHROME exhaust on ebay? It's a turbo back and the bid starts at $275 with $50 2 day shipping! Exhaust sounds great, is very well made and very inexpensive.... They also give you a free uppipe when ordering.

Great FAQ, one item of note however. You say in your faq that inconel exhaust is the best & you're probably right however one thing to note with INCONEL.
We usually use INCONEL 625 on submarines and if (God forbid) you get a crack in INCONEL, you could be chasing/repairing that crack forever as it will continue to spread when trying to reweld (unless you're very lucky). Like I said, given that, you're probably right about the INCONEL exhaust. I just thought I'd throw that little tidbit of info out there as a "potential" concern.

COBB doesn't make their inconel up pipes anymore (ghey) as Chris told me when I emailed him about it a few months ago:

"We discontinued the inconel up-pipe this summer. It was awesome being able to offer it for a while, but the price of inconel and tripled since we started making that up-pipe. $385 was already a lot to as for an up-pipe so imagine asking $1000+. Soon we will be discontinuing our stainless up-pipe as well as none of the newer Subarus have cats in their up-pipes."

I remember looking at the link a few years back, but it looks like it may have been deleted. Does anyone have that info?

For the quietest exhaust. I think a Greddy SP2 will be quieter then the Evo ones.
