Ok, on the Axis , they list it as only a 38mm offset ( honda ) and dont list a 5x100 pattern.
The correct link for Giovanna is www.giovannawheels.com Dont see the SSR Type R's on tire racks site. The nippon racing wheels only go to 40mm offset. I remember the advans used to be on cobb tunings page for 2600 w tires shipped, I think that was a little much though, you are prolly lookin at sumthin closer to 350 ea. ( then whatever you can get tires for ) . The konig subsero is listed as 245 ea for the 17's but no offsets listed. I am thinkin of going with a 16" lighter wheel and tire, that way I get the most of of the performace factor ( I was thinkin of some 16" RG's and some toyo's in particular ) anyone else thinking about doing the 16" but lighter thing too? Nate EDIT Fixed link, I cant spell [This message has been edited by Nate S (edited May 11, 2001).] |

A while back I was getting some Advan RGs 16s from Nativo. Were like $1400. Price on Rims really depends on who you are getting them from. The Advans are nice. light, strong, simple rims (look a bit too much like the MY00/01 stockers just curvey and not flat).
Volk makes light rims too. Most cases, expensive. SSRs iirc are like $360 per rim depending on which ones (i think the competitions are that much). |

I'm sort of surprised that nobody has mentioned the SSR Integral in 16x7 45mm. I know that it is a aggressive fitment but it is a light weight (15 lbs.) forged wheel which would be great for autocrossing.

Tirerack had the SSR Comps listed at $375 each, and they are a 50 offset in 17x7.5, made specifically for Subies.

Those Giovana wheels are nice and light, and surprisingly cheap, but look kinda flimsey. Plus, I don't know if I'd trust a wheel manufacturer that relies on bad photoshop jobs of their wheels on other people's cars... Anybody have any personal experience with these wheels? -tim |

megatron, where have you heard that the SSR Comps were made specifically for Subies?
That's great if true. |

The new SSR Comp isnt made 'specifically' for subies, but aimed at their market. They are strong, excellent ET( 50 ) for a 7.5 and weigh in ~13.5lb; hard ta' beat! Not due out till end of June however. Better order now, I did. SLR- |

I don't think Racing Hart CP-035's are available in a 50 mm offset. My 17 x 7.5's are 48 mm offset and weigh 12#! $420 ea. + shiping.
Advan RG's max offset is 47 to 48 mm. Some people say 47, some 47.5 some 48. $450 I think was the best I found for the 17x7.5's. 15 x 7 available in same offset weighs apx. 10.5# Volk TE-37's 17x7.5 48 mm $440, 15# 15x7.5 48 mm $308, 10.2# 16x7 46 mm $351, 11.2# 15x7 48 mm $300, 9.13# 15x8 45 mm #313, ?# ie. list -22% If you've got this kind of $$ for wheels the only other I'd get would be the SSR comps with the 50 mm offset which I would recommend if you want 215/45/17 tires for high performance driving. They also come with center caps which you can't even get for some of the above or they cost extra. Now, someone tell me where to get a light weight 16x7.5 w/48-50 mm offset and I'll be a happy camper. |

Unfortunatley, the Konig Sub-Zeros only come in a 40mm offset and are on back order.
This is a really nice, cheap, lightweight wheel(Racing Hart Cp035 replica) but too bad they don't have any for Subarus. |

I too "bought" the SSR Comps 17X7.5" with PP S 02 225/45/17s due with my 5sp WRX wagon in late June. There are two diff weights posted for the SSRs: 12.6 and 14lbs, but still way strong and light. Also, Luke @ Tire Rack is "most" confident that the PP S 02's will not rub, but others in the same size may: see previous post on Diff "Contact Patch" widths (i.e. 225mm = 8.86", but PP S 02s are 6.7"; PP S 03s are 8.4" and Dunlop S/P 9000 are 8.1"). Some 215s may actually be "wider" than the 225 S 02s. Mike

harrydog,
Actually, the guy I ordered my wheels (OZ Prodrives) from told me this, but I don't have any concrete proof of that. But a 50mm offset on a 7.5" wide wheel is an exact fit I believe, so it made sense to me. [This message has been edited by megatron (edited May 12, 2001).] |

Does the SSR Comp. come in 16" also? If so, what is their cost and weight? Who besides Tire Rack sells them?

The SSR Comp's come in 16, however, the subie ET isn't out till end of June so there isn't a lot of info on what other sizes will be offered in this new line up. Tirerack is the only dealer of the new line that I know of, not to say there aren't others... SLR- |

More weights:
5Zigen Fireball, 17"x7.5 +48mm, 18lbs (AKTUSA) 5Zigen Inperio, 17" x 7.5 +48mm, 18lbs (AKTUSA) Both are pretty light for the size, and strong. I had 5Zigen Copse 2-piece wheels on my Accord for years, and they ate potholes for lunch =). take care, rob |

So if you want a lightweight wheel I guess it comes down to min. of 400 each Ouch!
Any other suggestion I can't bring myself to spend that much on something I can bend. Thanks, John PS. I am looking for a 16" |

couldntihinkaone, When I ordered my 17" CP-035's I was told there was no 16x7.5 in a Subaru offset. I think they said they made a 16x7 though. So, where did you get yours and are they 7's or 7.5's and what offset?

Not sure if the fitments are avaiable for subies, but has anyone thought of RH Evolution CP8's or CP10's. Both are fairly light at about 1lb per inch diameter.
Not as light as the CP035's I know, but much cheaper I think. If anyone knows moer about these wheels please let me know. |
