Default BrenTuning | 2015 STi - Stock Block, 3.5XT-R, ID1000, UEL Header

Car: 2015 STi
Tuner: BrenTuning
Dyno Info: Mustang MD150
Transmission: 6-Speed
Gear: 4th
Peak HP at RPM: 416WHP @ 6750RPM
Peak Torque at RPM: 350WTQ @ ~5250RPM
Baseline HP/TQ for stock on same dyno: 2015 STi - 250WHP/250WTQ
Target Boost: 20.5PSI
Target AFR: ~11.1
Fuel: 93 Octane

Our customer Mark just had us take his car from protuned stage 1+ SF all the way to 400+WHP on the stock block in the course of three short days. The car is extremely streetable with similar manners to OEM and was built and tuned with reliability in mind. Torque is matched 200RPM later and makes 150WHP more on the top end. The engine bay doesn't look any different than stock and you would never know from the outside that it is 400+WHP. Below is a graph of stage 1 vs 3.5XTR on pump gas vs 3.5XTR race tune. There is plenty of power left on the table as this is only at 20.5PSI. With an upgraded block we usually leave these around 440WHP and with OEM like drivability and reliability.

Build consisted of:

- Blouch 3.5XT-R 10CM
- GrimmSpeed Black TMIC
- ID1000
- Cobb FPR
- Invidia catted DP
- Perrin Catback exhaust
- Exedy clutch
- DW65C Pump
- IAG TGV Deletes
- Agency Power UEL Header
- GrimmSpeed UP
- Cobb EBCS
- Stock block

I am probably forgetting a few things, he also has every Cusco chassis brace you can get, LCA's, brakes, springs and much much more. VERY nice build! We will be sure to post back when he upgrades the block and we turn the wick up more!

Is it possible you can post boost curve?

Was there a great deal on the turbo for a future build for later for the stock motor?

Where's the torque? Normally is comes on so much quicker than that for a turbo that size.

Sure thing. Customer wanted to see what the stock block could do with the turbo before going to a Rallispec built block.

We kept the torque dialed back to help keep the stock block alive longer.

Would using E85 help the motor last longer at this power level?

Of course, the problem that we have is ethanol content in New England can swing wildly which can lead to detonation and a blown engine.

This one is fully built as the OEM spun a bearing. I have another customer with this exact setup on stock engine, we left it at 400/400 on 93. Car has been running great for over 6 months. He is coming back here shortly to add bigger injectors and Cobb's flex kit.

450whp 3.5xtr Turbo

Default 3.5xtr turbo

How much wheel horsepower and boost do you run this turbo at with a built motor? Can this turbo make 500whp on e85 or race gas?
