Default Searching for a Rota dealer who can order custom fitments from Rota

I'm trying to find a dealer who can get Rota wheels in 5x114.3 fitment with high offsets (48).

These are to fit the Subaru SVX. The stock wheel is 16x7.5, 55 offset so the perfect 17 inch wheel would be 17x8, 5x113.4, 48 offset. Hubcenter is 56.1mm (so I'm told), it should be the same as the Impreza or Legacy, anyway. The only difference in fitment from the SVX to the other Subarus is the bolt pattern. Everything else should be exactly the same. There is PLENTY of room under the fenders for larger sizes than 17x8... rubbing should not be a problem.

A set of Formels, Actions, or SDRs in Gold, Bronze, or Royal Bronze would be ideal. Can anyone help?

Just contact Michael Rojas of Rota Wheels and ask him. I'm certain he can help you out.

I am not sure they are willing to do custom fitments. They have not been receptive to my request for wheels in a 5 x 98 bolt pattern, even though they already manufacture those for European sales.

If anybody finds a dealer willing to import ROTAs in other bolt patterns, let me know.

Wait... Rota already manufactures the product you want to buy, and you're saying that they've refused to do business with you? Please expand on this, as I'm confused. Such a concept seems so opposed to their business process that it defies comprehension.

Well, the difference lies in the fact that ROTA the manufacturer does produce the wheel, but their US distributor does not import these wheels.

If you think about it - it makes sense. If they were to import, say, 10 or 20 sets of a wheel in the 5 x 98 bolt pattern (Alfa Romeo only, not shared with any other manufacturer), they stand to make $2,000 or $3,000 profit. Then, they have to worry about warranty and liability if anything were to go wrong with one of the wheels. Is it worth it for them? Maybe not. So, from a business standpoint I can understand why they don't want to become involved in this.

Hey alfaguy,

If your wiling to wait a few months, I can send you a set.
The thing is, most of our european sales are not for the lightweight type wheels, they are usually battles or a wheel called quake.

Let me know what wheel you want and I'll let you know.

Rota,

Thanks for your quick reply.

I sent you a private email on the subject. Would love to order a number of sets from you.
