i did my clutch one day this spring. fortunately since i'm from new mexico (land of 5% humidity and no salt on the roads) everything slid apart like it was fresh from the factory, although i must say that splitting the tranny and engine is a real PITA. good luck finishing it up.

Cleaning up the lawn and doing garden work since we'll be at Elkhart Lake Friday for the Concours and Sunday for the races.

Bummer still pretty expensive for the race. I'm going to wait and see ALMS in late August. That is gonna be so sweet!

Josh do you just need another set of hands to help? I haven't pulled an engine before but I might have some time to stop out for a couple hours

hey guys, my name is Andy and i just picked up this Bugeye on fri

it needs a little bit of work as it has 232k miles all highway, front end def shows it
its all stock except for Tien Basic coilovers and 17" rims, not exactly a fan of the black w/polished lip, but well see

has a little bit of a rumble, im almost positive its a bad bearing, not sure if its a wheel bearing or differential, still new to the whole AWD thing

welcome.

its official, the beltline sucks big time this week. The last 2 days that I took the Scoob to work I did so much stop and go traffic that at the end of the trip I was having severe brake fade and one of my rear rotors was squealing at low speeds.

Kyle, I may attempt to duplicate this someday and head on over so you can take a look see at whats going on. The rotor that was squealing was about 3 times hotter to the touch and it was squealing non stop at low speeds (might have been doing it beyond 2nd gear but I just couldnt hear it)

Entire brakes (minus lines and fluid which are still sitting in my garage) were replaced last summer or the summer before that.

argh. time to drive the Jeep for an extended period of time again.

So I took my scoob to the shop hoping they could tell me what the ticking noise is coming from my front LH wheel. I thought it was a wheel bearing, but the guys at the shop couldn't even hear it.

If anyone is interested in helping me try to figure out the noise, it would be greatly appreciated.

I saw an 04 black STI near Middleton yesterday around 12:30p. You turned on the road from a subdivision and then turned back into another one about a mile down the road.
