It was good. Slightly different perspective though. This is from the second shot we did with me keeping the circle down behind the car more. Thought I had emailed you some, or at least some links. Brain was kind of fried after a late night of LP and then most of the day at the Karb Kings show down in Fredericksburg. Really good way to spend a weekend though!

I particularly liked this one of the BRZ - will have to edit out my ghost feet one day soon. I like the light streak - like a calligraphy brush stroke with light as paint instead of ink.

Also the black wheels blend in too much with the black ground, what you could of done was shine an LED white flashlight around the wheels for a few seconds to bring detail to the dark parts of the image (IE light painting); this might require you to play around with the shutter times a bit more but it would give a much nicer image.
How about you show us your take on it? I guess what I'm saying is, this sort of shot is not easy. It takes time to set up, and because you're using stuff that burns, plus it's at night, in the dark, and it happens in real time, it's tough to get it all perfect. So...it's easy to criticize, harder to do. Can you produce one that you're happy with?

Also, I hate square compositions. I'm gonna stick with my slanted layout.

I'm finally home INKMAN, now the practice begins! Here is a quick photoshoot in the rain, not really happy about it, but I think it came out with a couple nice ones. Wasn't shooting with a filter on and it was raining pretty good, so I had to act fast. More to follow

I really like the first pic! Shooting in the rain sucks! It tends to make you rush and not get the shots that you wanted. What set up are you using again?

canon rebel XTi with stock 18-55mm lense, and an 75-300mm lense. once this rain goes away, I'll wash it up and snap some different locations. still need to pick up a circular polarizer, would like to get that 1.5 lense too but haven't gotten around to ordering one.

That makes more sense now. Lol. I have it and its fun to play with. I use it to take pics of the kids though. I haven't used it for my car. I bought the 85mm f/1.8 or that. It's super sharp and I love that lens!

I use a Hoya CP filter. I know a bunch of people use B+W and some use Tiffen. You can spend as much or as little as you want on a tripod but you get what you pay for.

Here are a couple new shots with multiple polarizations. Some nice fall colors in the backgrounds too. I really like the technique.

For some reason the blacks look way more blown out after I uploaded them to my site. I may have to try a re-edit. They looked great on my computer, but you can still see how multiple polarizations can really kill the reflections.

I REALLY need a tripod so I can start practicing this! The photos look so much cleaner.
