Of course it will, it's just a re-mapped stock ECU. There are plenty of threads on what the system is and how it works. Study up a bit.

Rob,
Not a stupid question at all. I don't know of any other threads that have info about the ECUTEK and the 4EAT. I was the first person that had the ECUTEK performed. Even Shiv had to find out if he could reflash mine before doing it. The 4EAT uses a differant ECU than the manual. Shiv had to do a custom map for my Stage 2 and he did concur that the mapping and tuning is differant. I'd call and talk to Shiv before just having them reflash your ECU. I know he's got a Stage 2 map now but he may not have one for your mods. Russell |

And to get the most gains, you SHOULD get the ECU custom tuned by your authorized tuner. Yes, you can plug and play with these systems, but car to car variation in behavior won't allow for a truely universal drop in engine management system. There's more and more info coming in every day, make sure you check the engine tuning section. |

Thanks for the replies. I know Shiv will kill me when I say I have an AEM CAI installed. He may even hang up on me Okay I doubt he would but I am pretty sure he will tell me to take it off. Other then that I have a BPM TT, and Samco Hoses. And if I ordered the ECU from him I would be getting an uppipe at the same time. I also dont need every ounce of power possible. I still want it safe. And the stock ECU adapts so I dont see it being a problem just "droping it in". Besides my mods are pretty minor compared to all my stuff plus turbo, intercooler, injectors...thats when it starts getting crazy. Now I just need my income tax check...hmmm W-2 should be here soon.

How is that bad info? I told him what the ECUTEK was and that it should be no problem.
"It is just a re-mapped ECU..."=not bad info. |
