Default Question about Autometer EGT Gauge...

Hey guys. I'm wondering if my gauge is messed up. It's a autometer Ultra-lite 52mm EGT gauge, and the needle sits at 2. It hasn't been hooked up, but just taken out of the box. Is it ok/right to be sitting at 2 or should it be sitting at 0??

Basically....is my gauge defective or is it ok?

Blue, with more dings!

Default It's OK

Mine did the same thing. Autometer Z series. The temperature in the dash is changing the resistance in the gauge giving you a reading. Now you'll know if your dash overheats! Once you finish the install be prepared to see alot more than 200 degrees.
