Default The 10th Annual 48hrs of Tristate Subaru Drive

The 10th Annual 48hrs of Tristate Subaru Drive
It's that time of year again, when the Auto-x has quieted down, the Road Race Courses are closed, the Car Meets are finished for the year, and you are stuck at home with your Subie just itching to get out there and see other Subaru enthusiasts. Well luckily for you for the past 10 winters we have been holding The 48hrs of Tristate. This event has grown from a group of 5 cars on NASIOC raising about $1000 for World Trade Center Attack Victims in 2002 to our highest ever last year in 2010 where we had 60 cars registered and raised over $35,000 for The American Cancer Society.

The trip takes place over 4 days this year because we are being hosted at both the Subaru of American Corporate Headquarters in Cherry Hill, NJ as well as a private tour of the Subaru of Indiana plant in Lafayette, IN. You will make new friends and bond with old ones as we go on an adventure across 5 states and over 1,500 miles together. This isn't a race or rally. It's more of a caravan showing off our Subarus to the general public. No one gets left behind and we keep in contact with each other through CB radios.

There is no "fee" other than the required Driver donation to The American Cancer Society (a tax writeoff too). We usually secure over $10,000 in door prizes from Subaru-oriented Vendors which we raffle off to registered participants (be they drivers, passengers, or folks who donate to ACS through our site who can't make the trip).

The route this year starts in Cherry Hill, NJ and ends in Harriman, NY.
Jan 12- Pre-event Offroading in The Pine Barrens
Jan 13- Opening Breakfast at SOA Headquarters
Jan 14- Plant Tour and Raffle at SIA Plant
Jan 14- Cookout at Turnin Concepts
Jan 15- Highways and Byways travel to Buffalo, NY for some Hot Wings
Jan 16- Backroads and Highways tour through Ithaca, NY to Harriman, NY

All the Details can be found at http://48hrs.info

The sooner you register, the sooner you can start helping raise money for The American Cancer Society. If you can't make the trip due to time commitments or distance, you can participate in the raffle as a VIRTUAL PARTICIPANT. On the registration page found here Registration Page and for every $10 you donate, you will get 1 raffle ticket.

What better way to spend your Holiday Money than to help a great cause and potentially win tons of Subie Prizes?

If anyone has the chance you need to participate in this. Its a great time where you will learn more random suby knowledge then you ever wanted to (over the CB's), experience the true Suby Nation and amongst all that fun raise money for a great cause. I did it two years ago and would continue doing it if i wasnt on the other side of the country. Everyone have a safe trip and cant wait to see the pics!

You can participate in part of the trip as well. So maybe meet up in Buffalo or along the way.

If you can't make it, and still want to participate, join in as a "Virtual" Participant. You will still be able to win door prizes as a virtual participant!

As for those who want to come next year... This is the 10th Annual, so I don't see why there won't be an 11th, 12th, etc!

hotels work out to be $422 for the 4 nights, find 3 other people to split the room with and you are now $105 for the 4 nights.

please note:
if you will be joining us at SOA, SIA or TiC you must be registered. SOA and SIA this is for security reasons while at TiC registering is needed so you can have some food AND take part in their 15% off sale!

there is no reason you cant join us "just" for the SIA tour, TiC sale and food or SOA portions of the trip. you if you choose to can do part of a day driving aor 3 of the 4 days, it is up to you.

the only thing we require is for you to register with a minimum donation of $75(driver) that YOU give directly to ACS or $50 for a passenger. remember you do not have to take this money out of YOUR pocket, collect donations, deposit money into your account, register using that money.
