High idle after TGV/EGR delete

I just installed IBR tgv and EGR delete along with a grimmspeed Jpipe. Uploaded my tune and I have a high idle around 2k. If you blip the throttle it will drop, stumble for a bit then crank back up. I sent data logs to my tuner to see if it's a tuning issue but I'm thinking it's a vacuum leak since I swear I heard it from the driver's side. This is only a base map and it drives fine. I'm staying out of boost till he emails me back and just driving to work and back. Any thoughts would be helpful. Thanks.

vacuum leak, check/redo the drivers side TGV.
You can spray a small amount of brake cleaner around the area you suspect the leak is coming from. The engine should should bog if brake cleaner fumes gets sucked in.

Additionally, look at your AF Correction and see if they're in the high 30s, that usually is an indicator of a vacuum leak.

Update.
So I removed the intercooler and double checked all hoses and electrical connections. All look good. Sprayed some of the areas that might be leaking with some brake clean and nothing popped up. I wont have access to a smoke machine until Monday night. I data logged it so in the mean time maybe this can help if its a vacuum leak or maybe a tune issue.

What map are you uploading? Do you have a basemap for the the delete?
Did you remove any other vacuum lines during install? Maybe on vacuum pump or aos?
Also, is it possible you damaged the o rings on the lower tgv when installing?

I uploaded the map my tuner made for me. It is a base map to get started and do some data logs. I asked him about the issues and he says 100% vacuum issue. I'm very confident in his abilities. It doesn't hurt to ask around. I had the aos installed before any of these parts and have had no issues. I doubled checked that all lines were plugged in and electrical connections. I will have access to a smoke machine on Monday to confirm it. I believe there is a good chance that it's the TGV gasket but no luck visually checking. I'll know for sure on monday

Hmm did you check to make sure the seals were still in place when you installed the TGV deletes?

Hello all. My buddy finally borrowed a smoke machine from his old work. I picked up some upper and lower manifold gaskets in hopes that's all it is. I will let y'all know what I find out. I have my fingers crossed it's just the gaskets I fudged up ***128580;***128517;

So no leak found. Well one was but idk how to deal with this or if its normal. I forgot to take a picture. The only time I saw a leak was when I disconnected the brake booster line, popped the smoke machine line in and saw smoke out of the power brake booster vacuum pump (26110VA000 was on it). Would this be because the system was under vacuum and by undoing the brake booster line it is no longer under vacuum? No other time any smoke came out there or anywhere else.
Could it be a tune issue if the EGR/TGV was not accounted for?

Okay so found nothing. I did find out that I should be doing a boost leak check instead of a smoke test. I guess what's going on is the system needs to pressurized in order to figure this out it seems. Ha it never ends ***128579;

I am defeated. Taking it somewhere next week to have them figure it out. Idk what else to check. Vacuum lines seem to be in order. Double checked AOS routing and seems to be in order. Pulled TGVs and gaskets are in place. Used a smoke machine and found nothing. I am defeated ***128531;

SOLVED! Compared my vacuum lines to my friends 2020 wrx and mine were all jumbled up. I feel like a dummy. I didn't take pictures of that mess ***128580;
Well if I've learned anything it's to take pictures! Just like drum brakes, take pictures.

I'm so glad it was something simple. Really boosts my confidence that I didn't mess up a decent size of parts install. Just need to pay attention to the little details. Hopefully this thread will help someone in the future
