I am working with Perrin to get a good map on 93 octane.

It is cool with the Launch control, flat foot shift, blip downshift, and map switching.

I failed. I had my tune with launch control, auto-blip and flat foot shifting and used none of them at the autocross, forgot I had them.

I've never done R-comps. This CStock thing will be an entertaining learning experience. At least I'm abus...I mean co-driving someone else's car.

Did you happen to ever get a baseline without either tune? Just curious since you have most of the exhaust mods available done and a drop-in right?

That's the wierd thing, we did a pull with the "stock" tune and it was very close in power/tq. It didn't make sense

It would not surprise me based on the weird things that ECU does. Plus the tune removes some of the weird torque management that I think is in 1st and 2nd. What kind of dyno is it? The numbers are lower than I would have expected.

It is a dynojet, we used 4th gear.

Strange. My car is lower than most and I made 161/122 after pulling the battery. Before that I made 152/115 with just the K&N and muffler delete, stock tune on a dynojet, SAE corrected.

No e85 yet.I want him to get the Best 93 tune possible before we move to e85, in case they don't allow e85.

Mike from Moto-East is a really good tuner, he gets the most out of the nc Miata's for the STR guys and road race guys. I convinced him to get into doing these cars, and he is a Master tuner for ECUTech.

The dip does suck, but as you can see he is starting to get better tq during the dip, and is really trying to find a way ro get rid of it.

I will keep you updated.

This was on a DynoJet with STD correction.

We have other maps that pull better after 7,000, but we were mainly trying to fix the midrange and ran out of time to combine the two.
That is why I said this is preliminary.

Is Toni still involved or is this purely Mike's work? In other words I wonder if this will trickle down to me.
