Default Yokohama Advan Sport V105?

Does anyone have experience with the Yokohama Advan Sports? I've had toyo t1rs in past but they dont come in 245/40/18.

I love the look and reviews on the Advan Neovas but can't bring myself to pay 1200 for a daily driver.

Toyo proxes 1 also look solid but haven't heard much about them.

Any experience/reccomendations would be welcome. I'm in central Fl mostly highway miles with some around town driving.

Are you considering the V105 or V105G? (not sure of the differences other than they are two separate models with similar-but-not-identical tread patterns.) The V105G is the OEM on my STI...FWIW, I do like the tire from my subjective point of view for spirited street use (great dry handling and lots of feedback), but I feel it is louder and rougher driving than the PSS, and IMO not quite as good as the PSS in wet. So far, it is wearing pretty quick (but evenly)...part of that is my driving habits.

I'd buy them again if they were about $75-100 less a tire, but at the current pricing I think I will replace them with something else. In the size needed for my wheels, the V105G is priced as high as the MPS4s, slightly higher than the SportContact 6 and PSS, and quite a bit higher than the ExtremeContact Sport (the EC Sport is about $300 cheaper a set for me even before some of the pretty common Continental rebates.)
