backfireing 87 subie gl 2 door
My boss just picked up the car and the guy he bought it from said the anti after-burn valve was no good. So he said he by-passed it after it blew the muffler off but it is still doing it. Engine model is EFJ1.8T2AFD3 109 CID The anti after-burn part number looks to be either 420667300 or 084200-0500
Im kinda new to the world of subaru repairs but since Ive started working with this guy and helping him fix his 3 88 wagons Im not doing too bad. But if anyone has any info that could shed some light on the situation it would be much appreciated.
