An even better version of the the GT4..

Likely the end of an era for high revving, naturally aspirated engines in a lightweight chassis before things go electric/hybrid. Only if I could talk my wife into getting one of these. It's unfortunate there's no manual transmission version.

Hey guys, I'm in LA and went to check it out at the LA autoshow. It's gorgeous and all the carbon details make it look too pristine to beat on around a track. But I hope owners DO actually track them and drive them because it looks like a serious machine. I got some footage of it towards the end of this vid I shot @ the show:

I think I could live with a manual Cayman GTS 4.0. Fine tribute to the era of normally aspirated manual motoring.

This is the only thing that would get me to sell my R. Unfortunately, not willing to pay the price. No worries, though, I am going to win the raffle.

The Cayman R must be keeping its value well?

It doesn't have the coveted LWB seats, so it isn't worth top dollar. However, I would certainly get more than I paid for it 6yrs ago (with ~15k less miles on it).

I suspect 'yes' is the answer, as well. The Spyder fans are a rabid bunch...they'll eat it up. Feels like a car that has no real purpose (not that this has stopped anyone in the past). It is a 'more tracky' version of a convertible...that also has a hardtop twin.
If you want to canyon carve, buy a Spyder. If you want to track, buy a GT4 RS. My $0.02, anyway.

Im sure they will sell them all. Matt Farrah seems to love his 500hp Boxster.
