Hi everyone! My wrx2018 is a beast works marvelously up to about 13- 15 psi. When I floor it the needle calmly rises until it reaches around 15 psi where it then starts to jump between 12 psi and 20 psi and a loss of power is felt.

What say you?

sounds like a boost leak; check for a cracked tubo inlet, intercooler coupler hose clamps, charge pipe hose clamps. It's a start.

You are saying it could be the intake part of the turbo? Do these symptoms exclude the downpipe exhaust section?

From my experience, boost leaks/spikes like that will start in the intake track. I would start at the intake box and work down to the turbo inlet, then from the charge pipe all the way up to the TMIC and throttle body.

On the FA, the most notorious thing to fail is the turbo inlet since it's made of plastic. You have a 2018 so it's been through a lot of heat cycles.
