Default What's next?

Still a newbie. Still a novice in baru knowledge. Bought the car end of april. 2015 wrx.
As of now the list of mods are...
Kartboy shifter stop
Short throw bushing
Cobb AP
Cold plugs
Egr delete plate
Grimmspeed ebcs
Protuned today and very happy.

So. Where do we go from here. Full exhaust? CAI? Work on suspension? Flexfuel kit?
What's the opinion of you people ? What's the next thing to focus on to improve my cars driveability? Stay tuned

Why'd you opt for colder plugs? AFAIK OEM plugs are fine for increased power on the FA20s.

Get a boomba shift plate and short shifter, plus a heavy shift knob - it'll make a world of difference. I have all those and it's mental how much better the car feels with those. Also a stiffer tranny mount should make shifting even better.

- you don't need an intake for performance, but get one for the sound. Grimmspeed or MAP are awesome. Makes the car so much fun to drive. Can't imagine driving with a stock intake again as it was lame.

- get a catted Jpipe. It makes all the nice turbo spool sounds from the exhaust and improves flow (more power)

- definitely get an exhaust. From what i've read, invidia R400 is the best option for sound and look.

- Focus on the visual aspect such as wheels, coilovers, front lip, headlights, F1 brake light, taillight overlays, etc. You get the idea.

- why didn't you do the tgv delete?

- Get a new steering wheel with alcantara (use it with suede gloves) - makes a huge difference in connection to the car.

- Sway bars will make a huge difference in how the car responds to your inputs, something like changing lanes will be super flat and immediate.

- big brake kit... Either stock sti or something like stoptech.

- get new seats as the stock ones are crap.

Limitless mod possibilities on these cars. The real question is what are your goals with it? What is your idea of the perfect car for you? Start with that and all the mod choices will just fall into place.

What is your budget? What are your goals with the car? Asking opinions here is a good idea. However, you want to discuss these questions with a tuner. They will tell you what modifications they like and then go from there.

This is what you need to decide. You have so many open options here, each attributing to different mods. Suspension/more power/ cosmetics.

Agreed. Looks like you have NO mods that require colder plugs for ANY Subaru engine.
You may end up fouling what you have.
Colder plugs usually don't make power, they allow you to run higher power and stay a bit away from det.

Good thoughts.
What don't you like about the car?
What do you want to use it for?
Doing mods just so you can, "It's modded" is a poor way to start.

1) stickers, lots of them. Specifically one that says either 'got boost' or 'feel the Bern 2020'
2) 6" exhaust tip
3) some form of neon lighting shining down on the road surface
4) hood latch pins that aren't even functional, just cosmetic
5) triple gauge pod up the A pillar that are redundant to what the car comes with stock

6) Badly fitted Front mount with hacked bumper to make it fit.
7) interior neon lights so bright you can't see anything.

But seriously, start with suspension/sway bars, tyres etc.

p.s don't do the intake without tune, but you don't need it at this point.
