OMGHi2U H7 bulb recommendation

Hello there. Long time no post.

Anyway, looking for headlight bulb recommendations. One of the headlights on my LGT is now out. No, I won't do an HID conversion. I just need a good set of bulbs that put out good light and won't annoy oncoming drivers.

Any recommendations that won't break the bank?

LaterZ!

if you're using the right Halogen bulb, you won't blind anyone.

My hat's in for Philips halogen bulbs, they're usually really good. Crystal Vision/Diamond Vision. People used to compliment my old car for nice light output and colour without being too blue.

I have OSRAM Night Breaker in one car for more than two years, and Philips X-treme Vision in another for two months.

I like them both. I can't tell the difference because I never A/B tested them.

I bought both pairs from http://www.powerbulbs.com with voucher codes posted on their twitter feed https://twitter.com/powerbulbs. The discount is usually 20% off.

Currently they have 20% off all Philips products with code PHILIPS100
The code has been in effect since July 14 and it still works. They haven't posted an end date yet https://twitter.com/powerbulbs/statu...42569941708800

They ship for free from the UK, and I have never been charged duty.

I believe you can checkout in CAD, but the last time I purchased I happened to switch to Pounds, which ended up more than the CAD price on their website because of PayPal. I noticed the CAD price on their website changes based on the exchange rate.

I think I heard somewhere that Canadian tire certified bulbs are/were just repackaged osrams..... Don't know if true at all. Worth a look?

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I had a set of Osram Silverstars for the past 5 or 6 years or so. I had some balance left on my Amazon gift card so I ended up ordering through Amazon. I wanted to check out the Osram Night Breakers, but none of the resellers shipped through Amazon. They did have the Phillips X-tremes in stock so I grapped a pair of those.

Here's hoping my remaining bulb doesn't burn out on me before I go down in two weeks time.

Thanks everyone.

Default Osram Nightbreaker Unlimited Vs. Phillips X-treme Vision

Sorry to bump an old thread but I have a burnt out low beam bulb and am trying to decide between the 2 above.

Are the Phillips that much better better to justify the premium over the Osrams? I am looking at the prices at Powerbulbs.com. Also, is longevity a greater issue with either bulb?

I am willing to pay for the Phillips if they are "worth" it. Just looking for some opinions/reviews if anyone has used either or both.

I was also reading something on NASIOC about dedicated wiring for either bulb because the Subaru wiring is too thin? Anyone know/care to educate me about this?

Thanks

Austin

I've been using some Hella Halogens recently in my beater and I have to say, they're decently bright for some yellowish bulbs. Got them from Lordco and they were decently priced.

Default Going with the Phillips X-treme Visions

Well, after a bunch of research and hmmming and haaaaaing, I'm going with the Phillips.

Anyone have/know where to get a coupon for powerbulbs.com?

I've tried a bunch of copouns from dontpayfull.com but nothing works.

Thanks
