Default Tri-State employment thread- Post here jobs and resumes...

Hey guys how's it going? I know I'm not the only one that has been laid off recently. Just about everyone I speak to knows someone who's been laid off or has been themselves.. Finding work can be tuff!!

Post what kind of work your doing (or did) and what skills do you have. Or post up if your current company is hiring or soon will be.

Lets network guys,

Bob

Maybe everybody can post their experience &/or resumes here? I'm looking for an intern geared towards plant/mechanical/industrial engineering or perhaps even human factors or psychology people. Currently in Newark, NJ.

We're also looking for a plant manager, customer service rep, purchasing manager, and quality assurance manager... all also in Newark.

I also know of an open mechanical/design engineering position open in East Greenville, PA. SolidWorks experience required.

Very soon I may be out of a job. I'm thinking of opening a shop if that happens.

Hey All,

I'm a tech recruiter in the IT industry. The market just sucks. There are not a lot of jobs for Technical people. (Web, Admins, Developers back end). Most senior level people expect to take 30 to 40% less money they hay have in the past. It's really tough out there. Right now my business is based on project work and putting together executive program management teams for large scale out sourcing. I also staff Telecom people.

If you’re out of work and are an IT professional with experience only (sorry but I only staff consultants). Feel free to email me a copy of your resume. Something might come up in the future that could work out as fare as a job.

Eric

Thumbs up

I still have a job. I'm in customer service, and theres no shortage of complainers. Now THATS job security!

I was layed off on 4/1 (it was not an april's fool joke!)

I am a mechanical engineer with 3 years of experience. I do thermal analysis of electronic systems with 3-D softwares. I also do design with 3-D CAD softwares as well as laboratory testing (thermal/stress etc)

Ridinglow: I sent the resume to the position you provided, looks like it requires Solidwork experience which I dont have. But I will see what happens...

Thanks!

I got laid off 1 month ago due to a pay cut. No warning or anything.

I have 4 years customer service and 1 year of IT. I also have 4 years in sales and 4 years in mechanics.

Someone help a poor guy out before I have to start parting the car away to keep up with the bills.

Email to [email protected]

I'm not sure exactly what the position is, but I know it's for customer service, and it does require some technical/mechanical knowledge. I'll find out more in a little bit.

You got mail!

beobe99 - thank you for starting this post. Like you said, maybe there is something we can do for each other outside of the Subaru community.

Big Elm,

Where are you located, and what type of accountant are you looking for? My wife is looking into changing jobs.

I went to school for Computer Science at Lincoln Tech ( yeah i know woo woo) but anyways i had a job in the IT field, but it just wasnt paying enough...long hours and I had to use my own car.

Got sick of that and I now work for a Construction Company building new homes. Unlimited Overtime and always work to be done so I doubt i'll ever be out of a job...

I also work on the side doing websites and i am the PC Tech for 2 Local Doctors Office's...so i dont get rusty

I work for a credit union in Newtown Square, PA, just outside of Philly. It's non-profit, so while I'm not sure that the pay is all that great for the open positions, it's definately stable. There haven't been any layoffs in at least 20 years.

Right now we're hiring:

Financial Service Representative
Member Service Representative (Teller) (2)
Staff Accountant
Teleservice Representative

If you're interested, let me know through email or PM. I'll send you a job description.
