From my dealer experience, most WRX/ STi owners that "do their own maintenance" are likely doing oil changes and nothing more. (That's not meant as a blanket statement- I'm sure most people on this forum likely do full maintenances. This is strictly from my dealer experience.)

So to answer your question, my opinion is that 30k, 60k, 90k etc. are the most overlooked maintenance items on WRX or STi.

30k service gets an oil change, air filter, brake flush, PCV valve (depends on where you go).
60k is the big one; it gets everything in the 30k, plus spark plugs, and- in most cases- differential services.
90k is like a 30k.
105k is the timing belt (except for the FA20T)
120k is like the 60k; some places like to do extras at this interval, like coolant and trans service (auto or CVT)

To sum up my thoughts on this: DIY guys that only do oil changes likely never get that other stuff done.

Power-steering fluid
Timing-belt and related items
Vacuum / emissions hoses
Accessory belts
Brake fluid / clutch fluid
Brake pads

People don't know / don't care / cost is too high
