The wheel came out better than I could have even imagined. New A-Pillars look like something my dad & I talked about doing with my 02, really great work there. At this point they should just give you Top Scoob already and get it over with.

Thanks man! A lot of thought and hard work has gone into the car...so I really appreciate your comments.

Yeah you can really see it's a passion project. I really like the touch of adding the notch at dead center on the wheel so you know where it is should you happen to be getting sideways on the regular. Nice touch found mostly in true sports cars.

Thanks to xlubens DIY thread, I now have a new switchblade key!
This was actually a function deal for me rather than a cool looking key. I only carry my car key around because I do not like things in my pockets. This consolidates that down considerably while also getting rid of the dangling keyless entry that hits my knees on mountain runs and track days. Now when I put the key in...nothing is swaying back and forth. |

Looks awesome! Did you modify a stock blade to fit, or did you have it cut?

Cool. Looks good. I may have to make a second flip key for myself. I don't see much reason to keep the stock ones around.

I was thinking the same thing actually. I might do that later. Until then, I am really happy with the way this turned out. Thanks for doing the writeup!

Just screwing around with my 135/f2L. Middle of the day so technically it really sucks...but I wanted to try out some new Lightroom presets to see how they worked. Good starting point on some...but like always...they need tweaking...

Can that key blade only be for the 2011 or could it be also for the 2010 WRX?

At one point in time, I had thought about doing the Perrin stencil on the front in really dark gray so you could just barely see it. Then I decided that unless it was for some special event or something...that I would keep any stickers on the car based around shops my car has actually sat in and not product. Thanks man. It is actually really easy to clean. Takes a vacuum cleaner just like the rest of the car and it doesn't scratch like stock Subaru plastic. The nice thing about Alcantara vs. ultra suede is how durable it is. Not really sure honestly. I just followed the DIY and didn't do any of the research. I would think it would but I can't be sure. |

I might have to take a drive down to JP someday in the future after seeing everything here. Beautiful car, it really should be considered a standard for what Subaru builders should aspire to, rsutton. If you don't mind me asking again, is your engine built or are the internals completely stock?
