Default drive safely v. just got hit by an SUV

on my way to seeing casino royale tonight (awesome flick) i got hit by an SUV f*ckered up my rear passenger door pretty good and the wheel well area.

she was in the middle lane and i was in the left lane, she decides she must turn right now and then thunk hits my car. thankfully no one was injured we swapped insurance info and numbers, and i talk to an adjuster monday.

called apd, they didn't seem too interested in going out there to start a report

Damnit, people suck at driving in this town. I think I am the only one who can see the stopsigns in my neighborhood. Car still drivable?

TTIWWOP. Although, I'll probably see it in less than 24 hours.

drivers really do suck in this town. I've never seen so many stupid habits of people in my life. And here I thought Montreal was bad... Lane diving, tail gating, redlight and stop light running... oh is the car in front of me slowing down? well I don't wanna hit my brakes so I'll just blindly move into the next lane and cut off someone. Sorry can't wave an apology to ya... I'm on my cell phone.

cell phones should be banned, and i dont mean just switch to hands free. the phone in your hand isnt the prblem, your mind being elsewhere is...i always pull over when I get a call just to keep from becoming a statistic

I usually answer and tell them I'll call them back or if I have a passenger I have them answer the phone for me.

I'll answer but try and end the conversation quickly. Driving a manual tranny while on the phone is hard if you have a long neck like I do lol. And it is a distraction.

I talk on mine all the time with a five-speed. Its second nature cause with flying its the same thing only instead of just flying the plane your talking to the tower, plotting your route, calculating distance, eta, ata. Multi-tasking in a car is a breeza.

it has been proven though that driving on a hands free cell phone device is worse then the bare minimum for being legally drunk. Although i can see how your special skills may make ya better then me, lol. I suck at multitasking unless it involves normal in car things

Not everyone's a pilot though. Most of the people on cell phones have questionable driving skills to begin with. Add a phone, and watch out. Lots of people overestimate their abilities. I typically ignore my phone while driving.

Yeah people in this town can't drive. No one knows what a speed limit is anymore. Either 10 under, or 20 over. I love speakerphone.
