Default Extremely novice query regarding shims and bovs

Trying to figure out how to use the shims. Do I simply unscrew the top and place the shim on top of the spring that is inside? I did a search to no avail.

ps. I had to swallow my pride to ask this lol

Yeah, unscrew the top. What's wrong with it? Are you getting compressor surge or what?

No, nothing like that. I'm going to install it Saturday and I'm just planning ahead in case I need to use it. Tuner has me going with a yellow spring for 20 psi and that's right on par with the manufacture's website. This with my process west top mount has me antsy to do the install

Nice I/C and BOV combo! What else do you have on the car?

Phew, I was worried this was going to get into a BOV argument!

Nice choice on the BPV. You're regained your pride plus some more!

Seems like quite a few people getting Process West IC. It's a great design, but the price is just so steep.:-/. Nevertheless great choice of both. I have a forge bpv and love it!

Got my parts installed and couldn't be happier! TMIC really sets off the engine bay nicely.
