Testing observations... TMIC was well beyond it's capabilities with temps out the TMIC +175°. This somewhat hindered high RPM performance at temps ran up during pulls and timing was pulled by the ECU.

Feel free to post questions, comments, etc.

Teaser of things to come...

Just to keep things interesting... Something we're working on, Garrett G-Series Spoolinator.

Price and release date!

Also, when you say OEM location, what parts would this kit include, and what can be reused from an existing car?

No release date yet, but ~$1,728 with everything to run a GTX turbo.

Correct. The kit is a bolt-on to v-band housing adapter, downpipe and all the anxilliary pieces to run the GTX turbocharger (oil feed, drain, etc.).

The compressor housing needs to be cut down a bit (which we can do) and it does require a 3" turbo inlet.

Send is a RHD car and we'll see what we can do about that

Thank you. I know a certain someone that is considering a 3076 on E-85 with a ~500whp in mind. We'll see!

Sounds nice. But why not just offer your header with the uppipe v-band flanged instead? Using two matching flanges seems like a better/easier idea than two non-matching flanges with an adapter.

The only reason this adapter makes sense is if you wanted people to be able to use it with a kit other than yours. And why would you want that?

WOW that curve just looks unreal... I was waiting for someone to test out a gtx3067. Also looking forward to seeing results of stock tmic vs ets tmic as well.

I have a rotated vband kit, EL header, gtx2867/Tial .64 vband housing setup with ets tmic on a 06 STi, makes for a super fun car that will start making boost instantly at any rpm in any gear when needed Car rolls too, trapped 126mph.

Id love to snag one of your killer B upper turbo coolant tanks as well, just cant see spending 275$ for it You guys should do a group buy on those things and advertize them a little better, I never even knew about them until now, they look and are deisgned very good thoe... Keep up the work, you guys been setting the bar very high in the subie game.

Garrett twisted my arm some on this one. I'm glad they did. Nearly the same performance we were seeing from the GTX3071, but with better spool and transient response. Full boost under 3,000RPMs is terrifically fun!

Thanks for the kind words!

Looks fantastic. Now I know why the Legacy TMIC has been slow to come out Set-ups with early power are just more fun to daily drive.

I swear by a turbo blanket. Heat coat all you want but it still falls short of a coat. Will be neat to see what a good TMIC can add.

Definitely more fun to drive daily! Negotiating traffic is effortless.

The housing is Swain Tech Coated so putting a blanket on isn't a great idea, but I do like them too. We'll be posting an update once we get the larger TMIC and back on the dyno.

If I already had your header (and I was dead set on a non-rotated 30R with Tial v-band housing) and I had the choice between an adapter or buying a new uppipe with v-band, I would go for the new uppipe.

Looks cool. Just seems like it fills a very, very small corner of the market.
Hadn't thought of offering the up-pipe adapter separately, since it requires the V-Band down-pipe to go with it.

If you already had an up-pipe, why would you want to buy another one?

Anyone with an EWG up-pipe can run this kit. I don't think that's a very small corner of the market. Almost half the headers we sell are sold with the EWG option.

Correct. The 3067 is 'special' in that the compressor wheel is a bit different. It actually has better aero than the larger compressor wheels. This setup is VERY VERY responsive.

So if people buy this when they do eventually want more power what are our upgrade options? Just switch hotsides or? Example : If I get the EFR 6758 and want more I can just swap in an EFR7163 with no other fuss.

^ Because the has lots more versatility if the setup is parted out or changed.

For those that have made incremental mod upgrades and are at the point of upgrading the turbo next, this eliminates having to get rid of parts you've already bought. Lower cost alternative to rotated and better performing than OEM location housings. I don't mind that it plays well with other's stuff

I never understood why when bigger stock location turbos first started coming out why they didn't go with a design like this, whether it be an adaptor or just a new up pipe. To be able to get away from the pain in the ass stock style flanges and go to v band makes so much more sence.
