DCCD Pro/ DCCD 05 STi
Hey Gang, I picked up a 2005 STi and Have been chasing my tail on an airbag light issue. Noticed my Center Diff Controller knob doesn't do anything. Since I have the interior virtually gutted at this point, I found a module wired in "DCCDPRO.COM" is on a paper sticker on it. It runs to that knob. Searched that site and It looks like its a factory option type scenario but I did not have one of these in my 06 Sti. Can I eliminate this thing and still have a functional DCCD controller or is there something I should be doing differently? Tested the tumble switch, its working, tested the on/auto switch and it also works. I have Codes in the system for abs (all four wheel speeds implausible data.) What is this thing and why is it in this car?

Should probably post this in the transmission forum for quicker replies.
But that's an aftermarket DCCD controller. DCCDpro makes good products and is well known. If it's hooked up properly then most everyone would recommend it over the OEM unit as it's more predictable and has superior logic programmed into it. I would contact them and ask for info on how to figure out which model you have and then make sure you have everything to make it function properly. |

I had that issue all the time in my 04 STi. Check the airbag yellow color (I think) connector under the front seats. I had to zip tie mine to stay connected. The loss connection overtime and that's what causes the airbag light on your dash.

As for the airbag light, that's a whole separate issue, vehicles doesnt even communicate with the module.
The DCCD, I am communicating with DCCDPro to try and figure some stuff out with that. Should I not have the factory DCCD module plugged in if the pro is running the logic? |
