Thought this might be a good place for you guys to tell me what this mount was for? I won't be running the intercooler in the stk location if that's what that is for? Is it a ground maybe?

Could be different on the older manifolds but on the ej205 nothing mounts to it. I forgot to shave it off the back of mine and it irritates me. haha

The OEM turbo inlet bolts to that mount. If you are after marker or rotated you definitely don't need it.

^ Wrong side...

I had to go back and look at pictures of my car... If anything went to it, I removed it long ago.

You're totally right. I've gotten too used to looking at my reversed intake manifold.

Hmmm... what if Subaru knew that people were going to eventually rotate their manifolds and provided a place to bolt the turbo inlet? haha doubtful

What point would it be to bolt an inlet on if you flip the manifold?

Stock location 35? They didn't really complete the thought. haha I'm just throwing smartass ideas out there since I have no clue what it is for either.

Will painting void any type of warranty?

Depends on what parts are painted. Manifold I'd say yes because "that would indicate that you have removed the manifold from the car, and may have tempered with some portion of the engine." That's how the dealer would look at it.

No. They might try to claim something along the lines of what cjzeppy said, but that would be an incredibly weak justification on their part and against the law.

Here's my EZ30D intake manifold (clean and painted vs. dirty):

And the full installed pic, without the dirty comparison:

Nothing special, just VHT "aluminum" and "burnt copper" spray cans.

Digging up an old here but thought id see what you think!

Its another long-runner/big-plenum manifold (being converted to cable throttle).

Colour: Duplicolor Textured Metallic - Charcoal - only has had 1 coat on it so far. Thinking of maybe changing to the Metalcast 'Smoke anodize" colour, or even just doing the rocker covers in the smoke anodize.

I would of bought matching wastegates. The blue purple thing looks kind of weird. But to each is their own
The job looks nicely done

Sorry the pic is kinda misleading, that's just a pic on his bench as soon as I got them. I actually started off with purple tial products and then powdercoated to match
