How is it possible that my stage 2 11' WRX made more power and torque than stage 2 11' STI on the same dyno?

Im running Cobb SF (not the best intake), PW TMIC, Invida catted TB, making 16.5lbs of boost. I made 312 WHP and 322lbs of torque. STI with Cobb intake and cattless put down 306 WHP and 314 torque. Another guy with a 11' WRX (Stock TMIC) and catless made 322/367 they said it was the highest power WRX they ever dyno'd at stage 2.

Yea the STI has better tranny, no doubt. But I don't dog my car, my 5 speed is still tight. I'm pretty sure if you dog an STI, strong tranny or not, the end result will not be good.

This is not hate toward STI, I love the car, and I'm not saying my car is better. I'm just telling you what I learned hanging around the shop and watching dyno sessions.

^bringing it back from the dead.

Every car is different. Your 11 has a 2.5 block just the same as the sti. your turbo is pretty much the same as the sti as well except has a flange on the housing to bolt the IC to. Every car is different and responds slightly different to mods. its all in the tune.

The vf52 is making more power than the vf48, for whatever reason. This has been noticed by many turners all over the country. Nothing really new there.

Now I know that the sti starts out with 300hp stock and the wrx starts out at 200 something. We are both running the same boost around 18 psi. So my question is what can i do or need to do to get up to his level of performance with my wrx? I know that he has bigger injectors, little bit larger turbo, bigger TMIC, and .5 more displacement. Now i donot want to buy a new block for that .5 more displacement so if i get the same size injectors, turbo and TMIC what will that get me? Im just wondering what is making the difference when he is running the same boost as i am but is getting more power than i am?

I know this is kinda a dumb question but just looking for some insight
