Default Leaked! Check Out The Hyundai Ioniq 5's Fancy Interior

Leaked! Check Out The Hyundai Ioniq 5's Fancy Interior

Looks like it will have a similar interior layout to the concept.

In a few months, Hyundai will present the new Ioniq 5, the first of three new fully electric cars that will form the automaker's new Ioniq EV sub-brand. The Ioniq 5 will be a retro-style crossover inspired by the Hyundai 45 Concept, while the Ioniq 6 will take the form of a sedan. Topping the range will be the Ioniq 7, which will be a large electric SUV. Numerous spy shots have given us an early preview of the Ioniq 5 in action, confirming the concept's retro design will largely carry over. The interior, on the other hand, has been kept under wraps - until now.

New spy shots shared by AutoPost via Korean Car Blog give us a first look at the Ioniq 5's cabin completely uncamouflaged.

Unfortunately, the photo was taken from a distance outside the car, but it looks like the Ioniq 5 will adopt a similar interior layout to the concept, which incorporated a massive screen dominating almost the entire length of the dashboard and a lounge-like cabin.

In the production model, we can see the Ioniq 5's dashboard will feature a wide dual-screen layout akin to recent Mercedes-Benz models like the A-Class Sedan. Unfortunately, the interior wasn't captured from any other angles, so we'll have to wait and see if the production model retains the concept's minimalist cabin design. Thanks to a recent leak, the Hyundai Ioniq 5's specifications are no longer a secret.

Europe's First Edition trim will pack a 58-kWh battery providing a driving range of 280 miles on the WLTP cycle, while a dual-motor setup producing 308 horsepower will enable the electric crossover to accelerate from 0-62 mph in 5.2 seconds. A larger 73-kWh battery pack will also be available for other trims at a later date with an increased WLTP-rated range of 342 miles. Expect the Ioniq 5 to have around 300 miles of range based on America's EPA cycle.

In the US, sales of the Ioniq 5 are expected to start in July. In the run-up to its reveal early this year, Hyundai will release new trickles of information in a weekly social campaign, so we should find out more about the Ioniq 5 soon.
