Default MEET: SOUTH OC Every Thursday

Every Thursday, unless noted, we will begin to meet at In n' Out at Laguna Hills Mall in Laguna Hils, CA. Right next to BJ's Brewery...

Where: In n Out 24001 Avenida de la Carlota
Laguna Hills, CA 92653 Next to BJ's Brewery
When: roll in @ 8pm until whenever
Why: because there are no weekly socal meets really other than cnc.

Lets make this into a huge meet. All types of cars welcome! Bring your other friends with their cars.

To make this meet successful and gain popularity I please ask:
no burnouts
no revving
no racing.
Be respectful and dont blow it for everyone else.
LEts have some fun!

Hope to see some subaru guys representing.

The "euro" meet you speak of does not exist anymore. Been dead for a while. This is a new meet that started only one month ago. Usually 5-6 Subaru guys already show up just trying to get more. Some also go to the best buy meet the same night just down the street but they all street race. This meet is getting bigger every week and is for those who are not all about showing off their loud exhaust and squealing tires. All types of cars welcome.

Best Buy meet was awesome because I worked at the gas station right by it and I've got to see all the sick cars rolling in. Until the cops shut it down :/ And I haven't been to the In-n-Out one in about a month... there's always some dumbass kids revving their engines, and quads. Yes, quads. Oh, and the obnoxious techno music... oh god. Last I was there, some kid in a jeep decided to peel out, didn't see the cop, and got pulled over. That was funny. I'll probably head to it again soon, but I feel it's a ticking time bomb as far as police presence and watch. We'll see.

So, I went, it was cool, there where a lot more cars than I expected, it was in front of Macy's. I felt a little bit out of place, I had the only new impreza. There where a few WRX's and STI's, but there wasn't like groups of types of cars of the same model, it was more like groups of friends. Everyone just stared at me like who the hell is this guy? And what's he doing here? So, I parked next to a white outback, turned out kids where pretty cool. At the end I went to the gas station next to the north ramp, and I saw a big group of cars going at it, so I quickly pulled up to the freeway and caught up to them, they were racing, but I was just keeping up in the back, some WRX tryied to race me, but of course I didn't do it cause my car has less than 150hp and that would just be a joke. They were not safe drivers, that's why I stayed in the back, it was cool dough. If I don't find a meet closer to where I live, I will start one, targetting people with late model subies, with a kick back attitude, I don't need cops attention on my car.

What time were you there? I got there a little late. Around 9:30 almost, and when I showed up there weren't that many cars. It's like a hit or miss kinda thing I think. And yea, this isn't any specific car meet, it's more like groups of friends rolling together. There's been a couple times I was there that I saw a group of like 7 or 8 EVO's roll up, it was pretty cool. When I showed up, there were only a couple WRX hatches, and a sedan. There's usually more. But the majority of the demographic there are younger kids with daddy bought cars... sorry to say. Overall, this is an immature meet with kids racing every night on the freeway, which is pretty stupid. I honestly go there with my friends to chill and look at cars, but a lot of people there have some sort of attitude of, "oh my cars the ****, f your ****," kinda thing. I have met a couple of people that were very cool, but not a lot of people will come ask or check out your car at that meet if it's not ridiculously slammed or ... "hellaflush." I just go there with my friends to chill, scope cars, and grab an IN-N-Out burger which is conveniently located lol. And it's about a 10 min drive from my house, so that helps.. lol

Sounds like he is mature enough to take it to track. Safety first. But then again if you can't afford track sessions, maybe you should rethink your hobbies. Just saying

Haha sure. I've got nothing to prove by racing against other kids on a crowded freeway.

which means in real terms, you maybe take your car to the track once a year if that. you spend money on making your car quicker/faster and handle better for the "track" that you rarely go to. then you walk around and tell people that want to race that you save it for the "track."
