I think I have so much wax on the car after the Wicked Big Meet that the rear glass is coated enough to act like rain-x, lol

Here's another shot of the little M3 spoiler. Really digging it.
Last day for the RC antenna too, finally replacing it with a Shark Fin.

I rock the one from Visual Garage. It's been on for about a year and still looks new. Paint is a perfect match.

This weekend, as promised, I was able to install the Beat-Sonic Shark Fin antenna onto my car. It's definitely not the most intense install I have ever done, so again, I don't feel there is a need for a full write up. The install took about 8 minutes and overall I couldn't be happier.

The quality of the Beat-Sonic Shark Fin is perfect. The OEM quality of the paint, materials, gasket and hardware exceeded my expectations. The paint alone was a perfect match to the complicated Satin White Peal paint on the car and the finish was flawless. The small 1/4 gasket around the base of the Shark Fin protects the factory paint if it is ever removed and the added bonus of still having really strong AM and FM reception was great! Here are some install and finishing pictures.

Is it just adhesive backed foam to attach it? That gasket design looks nice. The VG fin just has a little rim of adhesive foam around the edge. This one is probably a better environmental seal. I think I like the look of the VG better, but this one does look good too. Much better than the OEM antenna.

Thanks Ben, I do like the gasket, especially for winters around here. The foam adhesive is holding really well and has a lot more surface area coverage then the VG.

For the design aspect, I like both of them the same but went with the Beat-Sonic because of the gasket seal and also VG is not taking orders for another week or so. The sharp lines of the fin on the Beat-Sonic seem to match well with the body lines too. The VG's fin is a little less dramatic and softer looking.

Definitely a nice change from the RC stock antenna

Looks like it's going to be really close. Do you know how wide the Vortex is?
Measuring from the back of the Shark Fin to the tail of the roof is 5-3/4"

It should leave enough room if the VG is not too wide.
