I just got back from Desert Storm Rally Monday night, and I want to publicly thank GrimmSpeed for their continued support/sponsorship of UP2MTNS Rally Team.

The 1.5 weeks before the race I took my car in for a re-tune....turns out we had a few issues and Miles at FLI couldn't tune it....one cylinder wasn't firing. so I took the car back to figure that out (turns out it was just a loose connection on a coil pack), but in the process of putting it all back together and starting it up, I could smell exhaust coming up from the engine bay - exhaust leak. Hoping it was just a gasket and a cheap fix, I got under the car, but found out my GrimmSpeed uppipe was leaking at the flex joint.

Now, this is one of their early ones, with at least 50,000 miles on it....3 seasons of RallyX'ing and 3 full stage rally events. I was NOT disappointed that it sprung a leak.

I emailed Justin about it on Saturday afternoon, let him know what's up and that I'd need a new one shipped out ASAP. Then I HINTED (hehe), that it would be nice if he could help me out beyond my regular sponsorship discount since the race is so close and money was getting tight.

Monday morning I had an email from them saying that not only are they sending me a new one free, but also picking up the 2nd day shipping costs.

That's some fawking service right there...and I get the feeling that they'd have treated me the same, sponsorship or not.

so THANKS GRIMMSPEED! Here's some video's from Desert Storm...the first two stages of day 2, I won them both and broke my 'stage win' cherry.

I want to thank Will at Grimmspeed for his customer service and help with an issue I had come up. Truly a spectacular vendor that I would recommend to anyone.

Yep thanks again, I put it in yesterday. All is now good again. The craftsmanship of the exhaust pieces I've received is outstanding.

Just ordered the gasket set. Customer service was great. I came home to find a check-up message on my answering machine, truly appreciated. The items shipped fast, and the product was great.

I'll be buying gaskets from there from now on, and hope to buy the ebcs soon as well.

Thanks GrimmSpeed.

Have you guys (GrimmSpeed) considered making Brembo (gold/copper) high-temp touch up paint? Maybe in both pen/brush and spray can (for full repaint of the calipers). You guys would have the market cornered, since no one else makes it.

This would be a really awesome product to go along with your Gold STI BBS spray paint.

Wow you have quite the catalog of our parts! That's really good news about the IWG bracket. Those evo3's are really popular so it'll be nice to have an option for those!

I talked to Mike at GrimmSpeed last Wednesday, ordered a new coated uppipe and bunch of gaskets. I didn't expect it to arrive until Monday. Well, it came on Friday.

First of all, I had to take pictures, because the thing is beautiful.

Second, fitment was PERFECT, and I love the new thick gaskets. I can't think of any but a small handful of aftermarket gaskets that don't blow out like the morning after a chili-eating contest, but these things are stout.

Third- I had a Helix uppipe, and with the new GS uppipe I picked up about 100RPMs of spool in higher gears. That's not much, but I'm pretty anal about that stuff, which is why I have the GS PnP manifold in the first place, for bottom-end.

I will say, I've dealt with GrimmSpeed on a number of occasions, and never once have I been let down with their customer service. I've personally dealt with Mike and Justin, and I think Rich as well, and they've always been pleasant and always had my toys to my door VERY promptly.

New GS uppipe vs. old haggard Helix

Now, if only GS made a full-blown UEL header....... *wink wink, nudge nudge*

Thumbs up

Over a month a month ago I ordered a set of gaskets. When they I arrived, I noticed one was missing. Having no immediate need to install the manifold and uppipe I have, I did not call them up about the part.

Well, today I called! Will helped me iirc, and the gasket is being shipped today! After this long, and on my word, they definitely did not have to send me the part, BUT, he did without hassle. In fact, he was extremely understanding and friendly.

Grimmspeed FTW!!! Great parts and great service ALWAYS!

I'm kinda upset because I don't see a Grimmspeed downpipe on their website anymore....(may have been already discussed, my apologies if so). I just got a new job and planned on purchasing next month.

No need to worry! We're currently going through a redesign and should have the new version ready for sale sometime this summer!

Just had to post another great experience with GS.

Got my dom3xt-r installed and realized I had an exhaust leak. Sure enough, the flex section in the high flow cross pipe was leaking (I had one of the original design, no longer an issue with the new version). So, I was thinking, there goes the tune. Have to wait for a week until I could get one shipped.

And, I was wrong! Mike was actually a distributor, he simply called GS, they told him to use one out of his stock and they would ship him a new one. Ten minutes later, good to go!

Thanks GS, not only for great products, but CONTINUALLY backing them up. That's what I call service.

Hey thanks so much. Downtime is a terrible thing and we get that. It sucks when my car is down for more than a couple days, and anything to make it quicker is always a great thing. We just want to make people happy and provide quality parts and customer service. We are enthusiast just like you!! (except I am the evil ex-STI owner turned Evo owner)

Just got my turbo back from getting PnP from these guys. They did a great job, shipping wise it came back sooner than expected. Which was a nice surprise when I walked up to my place and saw the box sitting at my door. They packaged it very well. I dont have any good pics of the hot side openings before I sent it off, I was deployed and the wife took them all for me. But here are the before

After:

The noticable difference is the thicknes of the exit on the compresor side. And like previously stated, the Evo3/16G uses the FP20/18g Bracket for the WG. Thanks guys. Can't wait to get the rest of your products and get it on my ride. Go with Grimmspeed, you can't go wrong.
