Subispeed has lost my business also. Well, I currently have an open order with them, and once that gets fulfilled, I will no longer order through them. Ordered some APR side skirts and rear spats last Friday, and followed up with them yesterday about a tracking number. I get an email telling me they should have more side skirts in 2-3 weeks. When I ordered, their website showed both items as being in stock, and when I clicked submit, there was no notice telling me that one of the parts was backordered. I had to play detective and follow up to figure that out. I'm pretty frustrated, and when I asked them if they would expedite shipping on their dime, or have APR drop ship to me, they stopped responding. Basically seems like they're refusing to take responsibility for their mistakes. Funny how they charge my credit card instantly, but I have to be the one to follow up on getting a tracking number. Absolute trash customer service, and will never order from them again.

Weird, same thing happened to me. Ordered three items (one I knew was shipped from manufacture)the other two showed in stock, 3 days later got an email saying the two were out of stock. Website still shows in stock. One of the items was just yellow laminex overlays. It almost seems like they are just waiting to ship till they can put them in the same box to save on shipping. Sent them an email just saying I won't be ordering from them in the future because of it. I know it seems like a small thing but when you are ordering parts often you order based on who has what in stock and I know I'll never be confident with their inventory system/ business practice.

At least you got an email saying your items were backordered. I never got any kind of notification. I had to email THEM to ask when the items were shipping. Also, Subispeed accidentally included me in an email that they sent to the manufacturer. The gist of the email leads me to believe that for a lot of the larger items, Subispeed will just mark the item in stock and order from the manufacturer once they receive a certain number of orders. For example, my backordered item were the APR cf side blades. They never order more than 4 sets from the manufacturer at a time. Also it's 4 sets for 4 purchase orders, and not to just replenish stock.

Subispeed has definitely lost my business. It sucks because they have a wide range of parts, but you never know when you'll get the items you ordered.

Well after a few email correspondence back and forth it's official I will never order from them again. I've never ran into a company responding to its customers like it's an inconvenience for them to have questions to better understand their shipping policies. I was forwarded their generic script in a separate email which still didn't answer the questions I had and the responses I did receive seemed like they were entitled to my business.


Essentially it went like this, none of the products I ordered are on back order. 1 is shipped directly from the factory to me (Which I knew when I ordered). They don't ship any items until they all ship. So they are holding on to the 2 items I ordered until the other order ships from the factory. So yeah. Thanks but no thanks Subispeed. On the flip side though MAP, Subiebros, ImportImage, Grimmspeed, KillerB and IAG have all been outstanding and have earned by business in the future.

OP, you need to work on your communication. This is how it could have gone:

Subie Speed, I would like to return my product because the color does not match my interior. Through some research I have found there are two colors of interior. I would like to suggest you update your website to assist future customers in making more informed decisions before purchase.

That's all. I don't know why there was a need to win an argument or prove a point. Just get your money and go.
