You should look into the "H6 upgrade" for the rear.
-Same caliper and pad
-1.1" taller rotor and taller caliper hanger to match

With the speeds you're hauling down from... It's a no brainer! lol If the pads are still good, I bet you could do it for under $100

I've had various people comming on the stopping power from stock brakes (not just you), so I made a video. I will considering the larger rears once it's time to replace them, though.

Here's an extended cut of my 10.3 @ 139mph pass from Rock Falls last weekend. For anyone concerned that stock brakes aren't enough stopping power check out the video.

It is ~10 seconds from 140-40mph and another ~10 seconds cruising at 40mph before turning to head back. Probably no more than 1/3 to 1/2 braking at any point.

No doubt the stock brakes will stop it. With the larger rear, the bias swings toward the rear some. Which is good since ours are so far forward biased. The idea of a more stable car, again at those speeds, is only added insurance in my eyes. You've made it clear you're all about straight line performance, and part of that is stopping, in a straight line.

I too play some in straight lines, all be it in an 81' Camaro that'll pull the front tires off the ground for 15-20'. ;-) I just prefer my subie on the auto-x as it turns, and the Camaro just doesn't, EVER! lol

Spark was blowing out above 34psi. I'll get some new plugs in tonight. I'll post a plot later. It breaks up at the top end due to the blow out.

Yesterday Nuke and I took my car to do some dyno tuning at MAP. Since the last time at the track we switched it to an EBCS to be able to ramp up boost at the top end, and also put in a Boost-A-Pump because it was leaning out with the higher boost levels.

The car ended up making 666 WHP at 35psi, but we were seeing spark plug blow out on anything over 33 or 34psi so the plot breaks up at the higher boost levels. You can see the car spitting flames when it misses in the video. New plugs should be going in tonight.

What are you running for plug gap? We always have to gap down to around .024 to get over 33-34 psi. That's always about when we see blow out start and a quick gap down on the dyno always clears it right up. .024 on stock iridiums let me go to 42 psi on that 6466 car recently. With .028 it started blowing out at 34.

They're stock heat range Iridium's that I gapped to 0.025". I think we're going to try some fresh Copper's that have been gapped down a little further.
