I know it's not expensive but does it worth the trouble?

You may check the 12V plug or the little red light under HVAC controls.

It's not the the 12 volt or the dummy plastic plug that goes into it. I checked that. The red light doesn't seem loose either. It sounds like very thin plastic rattling.

My dealer says that the written email with the VIN and delivery date is often bettered by a week or so in reality. Mine is scheduled for 8/27, but he says not to be surprised if it arrives by 8/20. Your wait could be shorter!

What is a good tow hook adapter plate to get, I am assuming that you are getting?

I see some out there for over $125 and they look similar to the the eBay ones for $28...I probably would not get an eBay one, but maybe something in between?

Thanks

That would be great since I won't be able to pick up the car on 8/21-8/22 due to work. Whatever day i do pick it up will be a vacation day so i can go for an extended drive outside the city. That or get a tint right away.

Does anyone know if the "stage 2" bulb kit is too bright?

too bright? impossible.. I chose prolightz because theirs looked bright white vs. cool/cold blue which I cannot stand.

Just came across a bonus on the limited trim level... Ive been using the FOB and button inside to open the trunk... turns out the limited trim has a button to open the trunk by hand since it has the prox sensor! Salesperson didn't even know that since he told me it couldn't open that way. sweeeet

Put in my order on Friday 8/3/18 for a DGM WRX Premium w/Performance Package and an auto dim mirror. After 12 years of driving a base 2006 Impreza (with some suspension mods + Kartboy SS) I'm very much looking forward to joining the turbo club!

Was set on getting the Limited but ended up not liking the seats. Side bolsters were a bit too tight for me. Oddly enough the Recaro's felt less constricting, and just right. Kind of bummed to give up the moonroof/LEDs/ and push button start, but a comfy seat is much more important.

Delivery is estimated for last week of October. Hoping it comes in sooner so I don't have to buy and switch over to winter tires right away.

Just placed my order for my 2019 STI Limited yesterday (8/6/18) and got an estimated delivery of last week in December. Dealer said about 3 months. I’m hoping it’s just too early for the date to be somewhat accurate...

It’s almost here!! Last update before this was at the zero land fill plant being checked, Did a google search and the plant is located at Indiana. The dealership I ordered it from is located in SoCal, hopefully it ships by this week 😱. Driving a 4Runner without AC in this heat wave has been excruciating.

This thread is killing me in suspense. It makes me wanna roll to my dealer and order an STi. Need to see more pricing though!
But seriously. I have a '16 prem now.. and am patiently waiting for the 2020 reveal.. which should be 10-11 months from now.
Congrats on all your orders. Especially on those first time Subaru purchases!!! I pre-ordered my 2016 and it was awesome. First subaru. First real NEW car. Pretty sure it was also the first 2016 ordered in my area.. I had to convince the Sales Manager that they were available to pre-order!

Did you get any emails from Subaru at all? If not it’s most likely your sales person didn’t put your email on the order.

I’ve had the 16WRX premium model also, but choose to end my lease early(Will not lease a Subaru again) and Did not want to miss out on getting maybe the last EJ25. I did want to wait for the 2020 revision, but I’d rather wait until people have tested the new engines to be more stable and refined, if issues occurs specially on a new platform.

Welp I ordered interior lights from prolightz specifically because they advertise them as being "pure white" vs "cool white" on diode dimanics... turns out the pure white is cool white and has a nasty blue tint to it like daylight bulbs... was hoping for a bright white light like I had in my old WRX from eBay.. not warm yellow or cool blue but pure white... They arent much brighter either since cool blue makes everything harder to see in the first place.

First mod disappointment. They dont allow reviews on their site for people to say they are cool blue white.

Cheapie bright white LEDs from ebay lasted the 6 years I owned my last WRX and were much brighter... but I dont want to risk not getting can bus certified LEDs on this car.
