Broke a Sensor and forgot wire placement. Please help!!!
Hello, I just finished putting my engine back in yesterday and I am almost done with everything but i broke this horribly placed sensor and have no idea what its called. It was bolted right under the intake manifold next to the turbo inlet hose.
Is it possible to run the car smoothly without that sensor using the bipass shown? I also have a yellow wire coming off the firewall and I forgot where it goes.

That's the purge control solenoid. You can run the car without it but it will probably throw a CEL. You can find used ones for pretty cheap. It's part of the fuel evap system you could bypass it or vent it to atmosphere. Not quite sure what bypassing it without a valve would do. A new one is about $100.
That yellow wire looks pretty beefy, it's probably the starter wire. Is your starter hooked up? I can't remember offhand and I'm too lazy to look. |

To by pass the evap purge solenoid, plug off the vacuum hose going to gas tank and loop the ones on manifold.
I recommend replacing the sensor or your evap system wont purge the fumes. The yellow wire appears to be starter wire and it looks like you pulled the connector off. Car wont crank without it |
