It looks like the left rear wheel got caught on the curb somehow and pulled the bottom of the tire out.

Wide body makes no sense if you aren't going to fill the gap with the appropriate wheel.

Howdy! I recently purchased a DSLR and hoping for some constructive feed back on how I'm doing so far.

And here is one more that I edited real quick. My monitor might not be calibrated correctly for editing as well as newbie with a camera.

The first one; the car looks out of focus. For composition, the car is not quite centered (left to right) in the frame. And the frame looks tilted judging by the car and the horizontal lines in the background.
The second one has potential in my eyes. Although it seems like not enough of the car is in the shot. I would've framed in half the car, from the center line over. And maybe a lower f-stop, or mess around with the distance you shoot at, to blur the background more and get better separation between it and the subject. Or find another location with a less distracting background. My .02 Edit: actually, I just tried correcting the tilt in the first one and then it throws off the angle of the vertical pillars. Not sure what I would do there. |

I see what your saying for sure. As far as the horizontal lines in the background it was actually a slope on the ground vs the straight angles of the overpass that gives it that look. If it wasn't freezing out I probably could have spent more time setting it up. I'll have to take more time looking at all the little details next time. Thanx for the tips.
