My shadow's
shedding skin and
I've been picking
Scabs again.
I'm down
Digging through
My old muscles
Looking for a clue.

I've been crawling on my belly
Clearing out what could've been.
I've been wallowing in my own confused
And insecure delusions
For a piece to cross me over
Or a word to guide me in.
I wanna feel the changes coming down.
I wanna know what I've been hiding in

My shadow.
Change is coming through my shadow.
My shadow's shedding skin
I've been picking
My scabs again.

I've been crawling on my belly
Clearing out what could've been.
I've been wallowing in my own chaotic
And insecure delusions.

I wanna feel the change consume me,
Feel the outside turning in.
I wanna feel the metamorphosis and
Cleansing I've endured within

My shadow
Change is coming.
Now is my time.
Listen to my muscle memory.
Contemplate what I've been clinging to.
Forty-six and two ahead of me.

I choose to live and to
Grow, take and give and to
Move, learn and love and to
Cry, kill and die and to
Be paranoid and to
Lie, hate and fear and to
Do what it takes to move through.

I choose to live and to
Lie, kill and give and to
Die, learn and love and to
Do what it takes to step through.

See my shadow changing,
Stretching up and over me.
Soften this old armor.
Hoping I can clear the way
By stepping through my shadow,
Coming out the other side.
Step into the shadow.
Forty six and two are just ahead of me.

yeah, that band was bad ass. The Bassist and the Drummer killed it!

Here's a new one from CES Cru

pretty good song, cool video effects. Simple.

These kids give me hope for the future of music.

This one is a fantastic song, not quite as polished on the vocals as the TOOL song but still fantastic.

So tired of the pop/elecrtonically aided synth voice and bebop stuff that is force fed to the masses these days.

Nice to see kids actually playing their own instruments & complex music from my era.

just finished watching "Ain't in it for my health" ,http://www.levonhelmfilm.com a documentary on the life of Levon Helm on netflix. Superb stuff, I encourage all music lovers to take the time to watch this great artist at the end of his time and become witnesses to his fantastic legacy.

I've been a big fan of his for years and now even more so.

As some might gather, I am a huge music fan. I am a student of the blues. I've been cataloging and studying the art for years.

I recall hearing some guy named Jonny Lang back in the mid 90's. His voice was powerfully dynamic. He sounded real soulful, gritty, very black, and accomplished. I bought his music and enjoyed it immensely. I finally got an opportunity to see this person on MTV***8230;.he was a 15 year old white boy. More albums came out***8230;.they were all good too.

I just got notice that he will be playing here 12/20/2013 in Anchorage at the DENA'INA CENTER. Tickets go on sale tomorrow.

I plan to be there***8230;.this will be a real treat. He is a supreme talent.

Here is a little taste for you other music lovers.

Walking Away - Jonny Lang - - YouTube
Jonny Lang's first couple albums were great (Lie to Me, Wander this World). I stopped following him after Long Time Coming… More R&B than blues. I'm a huge blues fan, pretty sure I was born a few decades later than my musical tastes. :-)

I'll have to check out some of his newer stuff online and see if I want to go hear him. He is amazingly talented and came up playing with blues legends, even as a kid. I really hope he found his way back to those roots.

He went through a neat gospel phase after that r&b album. Really good stuff, at least to me. He did some great covers too. Check out dyin to live. I saw one YouTube of him and Joss Stone this morning being produced by Herbie Hancock which was pretty fantastic too. I do agree that his first two albums were my favorites. I like to see people grow musically but not stray too far from their roots. He has definitely become a more accomplished guitarist from his formative years.

Cool. I'll have to check that stuff out. I'm not so into gospel, though...

fave cut from the 2nd half of the 20/20 Justin Timberlake album***8230;.sounds good with a SUB. This half of the album release is much more adult oriented than the earlier half released in the first part of this year.

The new Moby album "innocents" is really very good too. Super chill.
