Nope but I'll be playing in the free world preview event for guild wars. I gave up games about 1.5 years ago since it took too much time from my studying but since I have nothing to do next semester, I figured I might play again casually. I've heard WoW has some ugly pvp issues atm.

I don't get paying $50 for a game, then paying $15/month to keep playing it.

2.5 gb download.
Now they make you download it peer-to-peer which is so freaking slow. I only got a 28.8k download/upload... Quote:

I loved the game...and will probably get it when it comes out. But I'm going to wait until I buy it. Maybe my characters will be deleted...but that's cool. |

I started in the final stress test, so I DLed from file planet and got over 2mbps download.
I'm playing now, and whereas there are still issues to fix, it is pretty polished and so far lots of fun. The big issue is going to be keeping the community friendly. It sucks to have some snot faced punk 2000 miles away typing, "J00 suxxx n00bbb!!!1" while you're trying to enjoy yourself. I can understand the $12-$15 price point... but selling the game for $50 seems over the top... I mean, you're paying for content monthly... there is ZERO stand-alone functionality. |

I liked the stress tests, and will be downloading the open beta as soon as I get home tonight. It seems like they put some real thought into making the game enjoyable for most types of gamers, not just the uber hardcore lvling freaks.
