Does this mean there will be an STI offered like the spec C was (not talking about performance enhancements) but one with generic wheels and maybe smaller brakes to allow for gravel wheels/tires?

I doubt that ^ will be the case but it would be kinda cool to have a new sti that can be bought more rally-ready here in the states given that the new wrx is so far removed from its rally roots now.

I submit to you that there has been zero official word from Subaru and everything in the media is just guesswork. I SUBMIT THAT!!!

Word. There was also talk of 17" and 18" wheel options... of course it's questionable as to whether that would warrant separate model codes. But I guess if wheel color does, wheel size ought to. That all depends on whether that rumor has any teeth

I wouldn't put too much faith in the above quite yet, David. Not. Quite. Yet. David.

That is my point.

Why he just posted the model codes and basic features is beyond me.. That wasn't the interesting part of that info sheet.

There is no info sheet on that site. It's just a listing of text.

I think that was dphoenix's point. He is saying that there is more information out there to be shared that he did not share with us.

Of course there is. However on the site that he got the info from they haven't listed more information. That was all I was getting at.

Correct.
I just found it odd he leaked the first part of that memo but not the other interesting part.
That is all.
