Several of the earlier posts, seemed unhappy with the exterior looks, which led me to think that they were probably not aware of the "test mule" status.

A V-10 into an STI ? Heaven forbid !

The above reference was about about a V10 in the upcoming Acura NSX.

Unfortunately, when this thing is over 5 pages long, I think some folks will still be commenting, "OMG, this new STI looks like ****!" And then it'll spill over to the Member's Gallery, then the regionals, etc. Sigh... Sorry, I'm late on getting my morning coffee.

Anyway, the interior looks closer to final, and I think it looks really nice and clean. I'm glad that the stereo will still be a double-DIN unit and not some oddly integrated one that's tough to replace.

definitely a test mule... maybe they will have a visually tamed version like this one, but probably not... interior looks sweet though, definitely SI drive in there... I can't wait to see it with the flares, the diffuser to case the dual exhaust and the rear spoiler that we saw at Nurburgring.

I'm just psyched to see a test mule... that means we are getting close to seeing the real deal. I bet we see pics of this car a hundred times in the next few weeks... heres the STI test mule at the dealer... heres the STI test mule at the supermarket... heres the STI test mule at the gas station... etc... etc...

Even though it obviously is a test mule... I'd hit that. Looks good. to bad there isn't more pics of the interior.

I say test mule for the following facts
1. the wheel stance makes it look capable for the fender flares on a released sti
2. ive seen the interior of the 08 wrx and looks different
3. the quad exhaust
4. the bumper is a different color then the rest of the car they must of thrown it on the test mule
5. they claimed the hatch wrx was only gettin a single exuast due to clearance issues but maybe they just said this cause they were realising it in the sti version

Subaru, if you are reading this, note that I have pre-ordered a black STI, and I want those wheels on my car. If not those, please make it another 5 spoke design.
you really like those wheels? They look like arse to me on a hatch.

350Z wheels fit the current STI just fine, too (offset, bolt pattern.. etc). I've seen fellow autocrossers swap tires before.

I think the blue car in the background is a Forester Sports in WRB. Look at the taillight.

Not a F-Sports, c-pillar is the wrong shape.

Looks like a Compass or Caliber

Because dual-tips is the same as dual exhaust which is the same as a single exhaust leading to a muffler with dual exits... and everybody knows Brembos are gold.. nevermind that you can see the white 'Brembo' stencil on the black calipers. [insert puking smiley here]

Sorry, but this is going to be a 10 page thread with people still acknowledging it's a test mule, while others will claim Subaru is the suxorz and screwed up the STI.
